Re: Skyttegrav.se (Sweden)
I think on your server I would have a ping of 80-90 no problem, and I won´t play on any server where I get a ping of 200, but what worries me if I get a ping spike, because of whatever reason, it only lasts for half a minute or even less maybe, but I would get kicked for it?

Re: Skyttegrav.se (Sweden)
Yes Alex6714, you will get kicked if you have a ping spike. However, the roof is 200 but the server doesn't kick you on spot when you reach 201. It has to be above 200 for a certain time. (Don't which time though).
I've been kicked too from our servers, and my ping ns normally 16-18. Such happens.
@ bjoffe We have 200 because we believe in that it is a decent limit. Sadly, ping spikes is nothing we as an GSP can calculate with.
I wish you happy fragging on other servers if you don't want to play at Skyttegrav.se

Just a heads up to (any) player(s) that from time to time join our Training Server "Skyttegrav.se PR 0.85 Boot Camp".
That server will be down during Sat. March, 21 from noon. This is due to our community's BF2 "BigWar" (yea "vanilla") event.
"Boot Camp" will be opened again at Sunday noon, local time (CET).
Cheers!

On Saturday, March 28, between 20:30 and 21:30 CET (Central European Time) our community - Skyttegrav.se - will participate in the “Earth Hour” manifestation by shutting down all our servers and our forums during these 60 minutes.
We owe this to our planet now, and to the future generations of gamers!
Use this hour to light up candles and talk to your loved ones.

First, what's your ingame nick?
Second, which server; Skyttegrav.se #1 or Skyttegrav.se #4
When did you try to connect at what was the server message?

Re: Skyttegrav.se (Sweden)
Skyttegrav.se #4 has a new map cycle.
If Skyttegrav.se #1 is crowded - you know were to hang out!

Any doubles - except for two times Kashan Desert, let me know.

I would love to see a server wich runs all AAS, and maybe an all insurgency!
Anyway, great work, love the servers!

Hi Oskarious, and thanks a lot for the positive words.
We had our Skyttegrav.se #4 with only AAS (however in 32-size maps) and that was no hit at all. I don't know if people think that 32 maps are tiny - as in vanilla.
We have also tried - back in the datorbutiken.com - to run one AAS and on Insurgency-server. That did not work either.
So at our last "poll" in our forums, we came to the conclusion that people prefer mixed modes and we (I) did a cocktail of all maps at #4, and added some more than on Skyttegrav.se #1.
Don't get me wrong, we are all ears and you are very welcome to join our forum and keep the debate at live at Skyttegrav.se
But to alter the map cycle when it is only one week old. Here is the thread in Swedish
Thanks for gaming at our servers,
Magrioteli

Re: Skyttegrav.se (Sweden)
Hi there...
Me and my clanmates are playing on your server quite often and I must say we were playing on datorbutiken.com in the past as well, so generally I like your server...
I would like to ask couple questions about your server and I hope to receive some answers without sending me to your server site for details
So, here we go with my questions:
1. Is it allowed to baserape main base on your server if main base is not the last flag to capture?
2. Is team killers punishment system working on your server properly? If yes then how many punishes a teamkiller must get to be disconnected from the server?
3. If team killer is disconnected from the server by punishment system, then is he kicked (for how long), temp. banned (for how long) or perma. banned?
That's all, cheers

Re: Skyttegrav.se (Sweden)
Hi there.
Glad to see that you found us again!
The answers are:
Permanent bans (and by that, I mean forever) are for; cheaters/hackers, racism/nazi-stuff (perm ban sight and on all our servers), sexual abuse, players that repeatedly are team killing (for kicks or for e.g. vehicles) and also for bad "game misconduct".
The rules at our servers are to forgive accidental team kills, and of course apologize when you team killed someone. A good behaviour is to give the "killer" a chance to say "I am sorry" before hitting the PageDown-key.
Thanks for playing,
Magrioteli

The answers are:
- 1 No, it is not allowed to attack the main bases (on e.g. Kashan Desert) if it not is the last flag to capture. No exceptions what so ever.
The auto messages says:Code: Select all
>>>> NO ATTACKS AT MAIN BASES, IF IT IS NOT THE LAST FLAG TO CAP! <<<<|>>>> WHEN IT IS THE LAST CAP ABLE FLAG - ATTACKING IS OKAY! <<<<
- 2 Yes it is on and working! If a player punishes five times or more he is kicked automatically. (If we admins spot players that are abusing the punish ability, they are kicked and if they come back in and continues, they are banned for 30 days).
- 3 The kick for punish abuse lasts the round. If the players has done ten (10) punishes he is banned by BF2CC.

F.Y.I:
We will start up "Skyttegrav.se #1" (80.73.49.108:16567) with version 0.860 as our first updated server.
And then Skyttegrav.se #4 and our BootCamp server will follow.
I will of course drop a message when it is "a go"!

Server: Skyttegrav.se #1 PR 0.860 SKIRMISH
IP: 80.73.49.108:16567
Map size: 16
Max slots: 16
Ping limit: 250 ms
Auto balance: OFF
Smart balance: ON
Maps are for now (but nothing is static):
The server is located in Sweden!
F.Y.I.
We do have two live PR-servers, and one "Boot Camp", but due to that we haven't optimized the two servers yet (been talking about which maps and so on for ages now) I decided to let this one run Skirmish maps. For now!
If you want to stretch your legs, since you've been on your butt in a tank, APC or helicopter so long, please run around and meet your foe at a skirmish map.
It's worth trying!
Welcome!

Re: Skyttegrav.se (Sweden)
A heads up!
Skyttegrav.se PR 0.860 Boot Camp 80.73.49.110:16567
The maximum slots are now 16 (sixteen). This due to that the server intend to be Mayhem instead of a boot camp and with lots of reports of server violations.
It is a training server, and it is meant to be that players will have a fair chance to practice without getting team killed or base raped. Even the trashing of the jet's runway is rather dull.
One word if you are one that trashes the game: Behave!
