The only time I have ever used the shotgun in PR was when I ran out of rifle ammo once when playing as an engineer, I got three kills with it before the rest of the enemy squad charged me at the same time.

Other then that one time, I have never killed with it again or gotten killed by it. But it still is one of the most useful tools in the game if you ask me, no other way to get through those breachable doors and gates unless you use a grappling hook, and if guys are waiting around the corner for you to breach a gate, you as good as dead when they see you hopping over the fence.

Seems like most people are on the shooting end not the recieving end, and I've never seen anyone breach doors with the gun.

I never use the shotgun for that purpose. lol

yup. this guy broke into my house, and I unloaded with my 12 gauge!

It simply needs an accuracy boost, and I'm sure it will get that in 0.85.

Lesee... I was standing up. I fired -45 degrees on the Y axis, and the bullet curved up 62.5 degrees on the Y, 20 degrees on the X axis to hit a freindly through the window of the tent 20 meters away, instantly killing him. He punished me for that.

Haha something similar happened to me

I was playing insurgency and had the AA. A Merlin came in, no flares,I shot. The missile curved and hit a friendly squad, killing 2.

But, no I have never killed anyone except for a teammate.

I asked him how accurate the shotgun was and he said "It sucks". So I shot at him from 20 meters. Killed instantly.

Actually shotguns are very good because it is easier than rifles in game and is more accurate when FIRING FROM THE HIP ONLY . Once i killed 6-7 guys in a space of 50 sec WITHOUT getting killed (with semi auto shotugn) but i got injured so i just scavenged off med kits off the people i killed. The tactic is to keep on running very fast and when u shoot, fire from the hip in the general direction with 2 bursts NOT iron sights and when reloading hide. Also i achieved this because i adrenaline rushed into the middle of their squad and surprised them by doing what defies PR logic, what i mean is GOING RAMBO ON THEIR *** and keeping on the move.

This thread is a year old dude, they have changed alot since when the rest of the comments were posted

Mmm'yeees, though the main reason you may have more success with the shotgun is that this thread is almost two years old, and back then the shotties were quite a bit more difficult weapons to use in combat.

EDIT: And I'm getting too slow.

Yes I have been killed countless times by shotguns, the PR bots are very good at hitting.

I kill people with shotguns occasionally. Love the CQB stuff.

Nothing like popin a buckshot round in some poor mofo then tea bagging the poor fella while expressing your lickashat fav Especially when you know he dropped down his chair before receiving the fatal load, turning the corner. lol

They are actually the best CQB weapon in most situations.

They're the best CQB weapon. They do not play a big part. Make more CQB. They will play a bigger part.
