Those poor commies never seen one, they are all thinking where is the fuse.Panzerfire wrote:And don't forget the lastest WMD from the North:

Sounds good, but I'd rather have the camo uniforms for at least most NK soldiers. The drab seems more formal wear than battlefield wear and I've seen at least one picture of an ordinary grunt wearing it. As for vehicles, how about instead of a PT-76 use a PT-85, an indigenous design that is also more capable, we need to give them some balance here, more conventional OpFor is needed because the only new OpFor is Taliban and maybe Russia, probably not. Could also reskin the militia T-62 to look like a Chonma Ho.162eRI wrote:Thanks for the link!
Their camo look like a big mixe of Pla and Russian camouflages?!
For the model player, it's clear we can't use BF2 models:
-we need a russian helmet (ask BSS other Mods).
-the PLA cap in PR can make it for the NK cap.
-NK camouflage (uniform and leaves) for the marksman, or special units.
-NK green uniforms for most of the soldiers.
-NK equipment looks like late ww2 and post war Russian equipment > leather belts, few poutches, scrabard etc...
We've already this AA weapon in PR, hurra !

NKorean grenade? (weapons and gears from North Korean spy boat sunk by Japanese Coast Guard)

zsu-23 shilka: nk has about 100 of these. could borrow one maybe from USI or desert combat mod and re-skin i dont think DC is a member of BSS or will give models away (for free?)
helicopters
mi-24 hind: not certain of the amount nk has, but they do use them. USI mod i believe has a model, maybe desert combat mod too. could be borrowed and re-skinned. same DC thing as mentioned
aircraft
mig 21: north korea has over 150. EOD mod has a mig 21 that could be re-skinned perhaps. i think no, cos EoD got this form AiX mod
army:
nk has the 4th largest army in the world. ... most likely new models would have to be made for nk army as none currently in PR would really suit. or maybe, an iraqi soldier model from USI or desert combat could be re-skinned as the uniforms are similar. same as mentioned above
I like the idea of old Russian scopes for optics, like perhaps the Mosin scope or something, I want the KPA to have all the stuff a normal conventional force has like the MEC or China because of all the new other forces, just older stuff that's the same. As for the drab, maybe kits like crewman, pilot, and engineer can have them.162eRI wrote:For the aircraft, we can use this one:

Well, camo would make them more modern conventionnal army, but seeing field training pictures, they wear green uniforms, but perhaps they are currently receiving new camo uniforms? Anyway, the point is, even if they're a conventional army, it's a poor country, and badly equiped, we arn't in PR to have always symetric fights, the NK should have the same kits than other conventional army, but those kits should be less better!!! Officer or Rifleman optic kits are supposed to have optics, I don't think NKorea have modern aimpoint or scopes, perhaps few old russian scope, because I've seen none in pictures!
So I know, in PR they give to the MEC a good army, so why not the North Korean you will say me?! But I found NK army interesting because it give us the opportunity to fight differently with an old equiped army against a modern one! That's why I found the green uniform great hahahaha
i only think it would be realistic to have optics on sniper and marksman rifles. having optics like the other factions do such as mec and US, that would sorta kill the point of even having a nk faction. they are a 3rd world poor peoples army. i think they fall more in line with the milita than with standard factions. sorta like a milita with a huge numerical superiorty in tanks and troops, but really old crappy gear.Hresvelgr wrote:I like the idea of old Russian scopes for optics, like perhaps the Mosin scope or something, I want the KPA to have all the stuff a normal conventional force has like the MEC or China because of all the new other forces, just older stuff that's the same. And for a DMZ map, perhaps something like a reverse Hills of Hamgyong with the US/ROK defending the high ground, with at least some ground level enough for NK tank assault and the NKoreans also get faster spawn time to counter the tech and US/RoK's high ground advantage. That would be an awesome map. Only problem I remember on Hamgyong was that US was pwned if they didn't act decisive enough, too many people held back out of fear. But that's more a player problem anyways.
I was talking about SKS no optics, sorry if you thought other wise!charliegrs wrote:perhaps, place lots of spawn points and shorter respawn times for nk soldiers, to simulate human wave attacks?
also, the only problem i see with having a SKS kit with optics for nk is that everyone would choose it, it wouldnt look too realistic to have all the nk soldiers running around with SKSs and no AKs in sight.
well i think you have a point, but i think if you do some things to make the nk forces appear to be a massive force {lots of spawn point, lower spawn time, large amounts of tanks} it would differentiate them from the militia.Hresvelgr wrote:The main issue I have with the SKS is that it just makes the KPA feel more like militia. They already have AK's w/o optics, T-62s, BRDMs, probably Ppsh's too, etc. Do we really need them to be a reskinned Militia?
