Just let it run in the background while playing. You can lower the upload rate so it doesn't affect your ping - 20 kB/s is still more then 0

is there a faster program than bittorrent? on bittorrent it says that it will take 1 week and 2 days

I'm on Fiber, so once the download finishes (in 2 hours at this rate) I'll seed it at around 200KB for a bit while I play for an hour or so before bed, then I'll uncap it and seed at full bandwidth all day.

P.S. I hope the bat scripts for those with the downloaded version of BF2 work with this version

Well it never connects you to all the seeders, just part of them, just like with the peers. I am connected to about a 1/7th of the seeders and peers. I'm pretty sure this is because connecting to more seeders wouldn't have an effect above what you already have. But don't take my word for it, this is where the bittorrent stuff gets complicated.

lol I know how you feel mate. Mine dl speed is jumping from 150 to 40 :/

That's just the way that torrents work. It's most likely because most people set up their torrent apps to only allow a certain number of connections and those are already full, so you are sitting in line. I'm connected to 3 on one file and 9 on the other, the sad thing is the amount of leechers who aren't uploading or are shutting down the torrent as soon as their download is done.

Looking at the "Speed" tab you can clearly see Where it is all high from peopl that are downloading and seeding etc. Then there is a clear point where the speed has dropped from where people have stopped seeding to play....


Well you cant play with out other players so yeah....Seeding is good.

Access to seeds are decided by a number of things, they may be visible but restricted by community access or you may be unable to get a good line over the net to them...any number of reasons.

Which is why seeding tends to follow geography somewhat as the IT network spreads it along the users closest to them the fastest.

EDIT: Ah, forgot about the block number of users. Of course.
