nice post GreenLED... and yea your right.
for many players, project reality is a "free" game. But for the server admins, r-devs, r-cons and all the individuals who are paying monthly upkeep from their own pockets for the website/ftp/repo/teamspeak/servers, its not really "free" at all. add in the 1000's upon 1000's of work hours that are constantly being put in tho the mod, when these same people could be getting paid during this time, and yea the costs add up quite quickly.
but everyone involved in the project does it because they really have a passion for this mod and what it represents, and alot use it as a learning experience. they dont ask for much in return, simply just happy to see the mod succeed and able to play the fruits of their labor.
so anyways, the mod wont be requiring anyone to pay anytime soon, but that doesnt mean its "free" for alot of folks it is quite costly but worth it in the end.

Reading comprehension is a skill that many youngsters these days apparentely lack
This is a Hypothetical Question if pr wasnt a mod and was a full game.

One Mwilllllion dollarrrs
Seriously, the amount of money I've spent not buying new games is unbelieveable - although quantifiable but that would remove hyperbole - I mean, I know I'd just end up playing PR anyway, cause it's pretty close to what I remember imagining games should be like while playing army men as a youngster.
Yeah! PR-Devs! Catering for our dreams one commo-rose at a time.

I voted $60, but I wouldn't pay any dollars. I would pay about £40 for it

With the work the DEVS are showing everyone i think they are more than capable of building their own engine, it will take a while but im sure they can do it, then make the gameplay like 30 times better.

50$, thats what I would spend because no "new" game costs more or its a ripoff - so basically I would pay the price that any new PC/Console game costs 50$
I've spent hundreds of hours playing PR, and consider it the best free entertainment I've ever had ( Free on my end

)
I would have no problem paying for PR if it ever became an independent, or full game.

So because of its label? If i had $100 and i saw this game sitting on the shelf which was labeled as a mod for BF2 and i saw GTAVII next to it.
I would buy PR.
But hey....Thats just me apparently.

I would be prepared to pay 50 dollars or what the hell, even 50 euros for PR game. If you take a look at the pc-games section next time you visit the shop, you find out much sucky games with higher price tag

Well we could all donate half of what we would pay if it was on the shelf. That would help the devs and really show the appreciation!! Because I understand full price is a bit much for some people.

Well when you consider the price paid compared to the number of hours of actual play, BF2 + PR -> 3 years of gaming, countless number of hours worth.
Compared to some games which you buy, finish the same week end and never touch again ...
(reason why I've never been a console player ^^ )

Since PR is the best FPS ever, I would pay what it says on the price-tag.
