According to me, the most hardcoded aspect of players: they will use what resources they have access to to the best of their abilities. So, in theory, if you give the players the choice of having the minimap or not, most would invariably choose to have it on. This doesn't mean it's essential to gameplay, not in the very least, though.

The cheek of someone calling me illiterate! If you knew what I did you for a living you would retract that remark but, alas, English is your second language, presumably, if you are from Norway, not mine, so I won't argue anymore with you.

And who the hell says Wikipedia is a valid resource? God help us all if we believe that to be true!

The habits of some players are hardcoded, but the habits of others are not, otherwise PR would never make any progress.

Always has it been, even in the complex practice of democracy, that people refuse to be sensible and thoughtful and instead become susceptible to that which is more basic or simply immediately gratifying.

So yea, some are hardcoded, other are not. Those that are not are the base of this great mod and are those who make it great. The rest are gristle that has yet to be trimmed from the tender meat of our community.

there has been LOTS of threads on here about "noobs" and in most you would see that people separate "noob" and "newbie"

Wikipedia mostly fails as a credible source when it comes to politically sensitive topics, not everything.

players aren't hardcoded FFS.... you just need a mad brain surgeon and an electrician.
