Lots of RAM is a very good idea.. 4gb is probably best (and very cheap

) - Hard Drive speed should have very little effect on fps as all loading is done when the map loads however it will get you into the game quicker.
What I have realised from all those comparison shots (especially muttrah) - Is how much I need to get myself a new computer (running on low/mid settings at best). They're.... beautiful!

Rofl, looking at all those screens just makes you realize that the BF2 engine is so dated. XD
We seriously need to get this game all next-genned up.

Feel free to name FPS game that supports 64 simultaneous players and looks better

Ofc... You don't respawn there.. Might be a problem.
How do you see the limitations in multiplayer? Isn't that up to each developer to decide based on what they think will keep the game playing smoothly?
