I've been listening the sound clips from WiC (mostly the tactical aid voice clips) and some of them might work for such as commander accepting the mortar / artillery / JDAM strike and probably some new voices for flyboys. I'm yet to rip the voices though in different languages, so I have only access to english ones but the german ones sound pretty decent too.

But I wonder is it okay for us to use those in this mod, although the devs dont get paid for this so...

It might break the immersion though if people have access to voice commands that are from 2 different sources.

*edit* Nevertheless, I'm trying to get my hands on Chinese, Russian and German edition of the game at least, for their own voice packs. I don't know is there a voice pack for Arabic but i'll try to look around.. If I can gather the voice packs, then it would be possible to use them since all factions could have their own voices.

I dont know if the current M16 sound is realistic but it sounds very weak to me, it missed the old bang it used to in some of the older versions. The new British and PLA sounds are awsome.

YouTube - Project Reality Mini-Mod v0.25 Trailer - HD You can hear the old m16 sound in this one, liked that one alot.

YouTube - PR v0.75 Kashan Infantry Gameplay This one sounds awsome aswel.

The new m16 kinda misses the bang, it sound very weak.

More ambient sounds to Fallujah.
Perhaps something like main_street.ogg.
(EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\common client\Sound\levelambients)
It´s only one minute long so we need something longer or it would get pretty repetative..

after doing some mapping with a tornado on the map, I have to say that the Tornado is probably the vehicle ingame most in need of love.

a tornado just flew over my house, as they do every day several times a day, its not a whoosh like it is ingame.

Gunsounds from afar should be a bit louder, when someone is shooting at you you only hear the whiz-sound when the bullet hits the wall behind you, or so I remember.

One group of sounds that I believe need to be address are large calibre weapon system sounds.

Tanks, APC, AAA etc should also have a sound that should be heard at long ranges the same as rifles and MG's.

You'll usually hear small arms long before you hear the larger weapons as they have additional sounds tied to the effects/muzzlesflashes sounds.

Helos need to be a LOT louder. The AH-1 Cobras guns need to be louder and more of a crack to it, they sound way to muffled.

In this I agree.

On Corengal map, when I am at the caves northwest from the US fob, I can hear some "rolling stones" (no, it's not Paint it black...). I am not sure if it's some ambient sound because it's quite loud or a sound that comes from a collapsing cave but it doesn't seem to have a position in the world (it's a stereo sound and it doesn't change as you move around). If it's an ambient sound, I think it should be a bit quieter, if it's a "map entity" sound, it should be corrected.

I think the sounds in PR are simply awesome. The only thing that's really bothering me is the soundbug.

The pain sounds from OFP unfortunately are the same ones used universally by almost all the games out there and the movies.
I, too, find the pain sound annoying. The "cough" in the black/white screen is very realistic but the pain sound is coming too soon and sometimes you can have it for a long time before reaching a medic. It is like he will spill his guts every 10 sec for 2 min lol (I assume some blood goes into his throat as well).
Either the sound is too exaggerated or it comes too soon.

Personnaly, I don't remember hearing this particular sound in movies but if you say so, I must go to the movie theater more often :)

Not really a sound 'effect' but Asad Khal needs a diffrent loading music, you know, something that I haven't heard one million times before while loading Muttra 2. ( it's good for muttra though, just not any other maps)

jets, especially afterburners, should be heard before you see them, or if not possible, before you look up to see it.
