Not sure if I'm missing something here, but would it not have been best to move the server to a new version after the new version is available for release? I mean it can't take that long to move the server can it?

They need to test it first.

I can't get mumble 1.1.8 or prmumble 0.4 to connect to Project Reality mumble server..

Do i need to dump both these versions and wait for prmumble 0.5?

Welcome to the forums

The PR server is currently down to be tested and updated with .5 on a new provider.

A few clans do run their own mumble server, which you can use until the main server is back up

Affirmative , for the official PR server anyway.

Jeez guys you are all mumble junkies , I seen smack addicts cold turkey with less fuss

yeah but mumbles cheaper than smack and doesn't make yor knob drop off

when administerd with a dose of PR it just stops you wanting to sh*g your missus cuz it's 4am and she's asleep and you just wanna play one more round and your just dribbling like a fool praying it won't be a fail map

I got met with "I dont do it with strangers" the other night. She asked me was my PC broken.

Back OT how long are we looking at for testing etc until its back up.

how many days has it been, now I'm actually starting to mumble in real life

Hopefully looking at sometime this next week perhaps ? It just depends on peoples time schedules, and how the organizing goes.

Given the opportunity, I would have paid money to have the transition made faster if I knew it was going to take this long.

The comment about Mumble being like a drug, is spot on. Even if only 15% of a full server use it (which is about normal for Aus), I still hate to play without it.

I know a lot of you Aus guys use mumble, so why don't you set up your own temporary private mumble server?

I had a game today on UKWF, were mumble was needed so badly!

But take your time, make it right.

I don't know about you but I don't think we have any money spare.

Patience lads, patience.

Want it fast or want it good?

Clans can get their own mumble servers from certain providers for the month or so if your that desperate.

We have our servers provided by an ISP. We asked for Mumble but they said TS was good enough, which is already provided to us.

TS better than Mumble, oh how I mock thee.


In regards to a temp server, sure, we could of arranged one if we knew it would of taken this long. As it stands, we seem pretty close, not really worth it now.

Not that I mind, personally, a free, settings-fixed Mumble server is worth waiting for.
