It was a large boulder out about 150-200 yards, the 700grn AP bullet knocked about a fist sized hole in the boulder and I found the AP core about 2 feet in front of the boulder where it was deflected to. AP core was still sharp with some scratches from where you could see it come in contact with the rock.

The AS50 from what little I have seen of it on Future Weapons(hate the show host) as well as other things around the net, has much more in common with an accurized AR15/M16 in that it appears to be a direct impingement action though with a bolt carrier/bolt of modified design.
I mean Chinese M99 semi-auto AMR, not Barret M99.
