If PR team was workinng in this patch we certainly had this update two years go... how many versions of pr were launched since bf2 1.41 ???

I was excited for BF2 patches until 1.3 came out. Waiting for the real deal (.87) to be released, now that's exciting.

I tried out BF2 with the patch, and I must say, after so many years of ARMA and PR, vbf2 feels completely like a foreign country.

It made me realize how fantastic PR is, and the teamwork attitude of many who play it

They never supported alt-tab? Oh yeah? Well why has it always worked until now!

They never supported alt-tab, which means that they don't support it and don't care if it breaks. If it works, great, if not, bugger.
There are numerous reasons why the alt+tab might be broken,might be something to do with security which they cannot reveal even thou they know it.

Main reason why the patch was made are security reasons, not minor tweaks.

AFAIK the FOV is also configured correctly based on resolution so thats completely different thing than setting console parameters.
HUD will still be stretched, but that's something they cannot change (nor was it planned) without a graphic artist which they didin't have.

Has any one tryed minimising the game using control+Alt+delete that still work's right?.

Just under 1mb/s using this torrent.

It's not the minimizing that crashes the game, it's when trying to come back that screen stays black and nothing happens untill i go back to windows when the game shuts down.

Is the Alt-Tab issue PR only or for all of BF2?

I've got AA ( x8 ) enabled and I can alt tab fine. (4 gigs of RAM)

I'm using Win 7 64 RC

Does anyone know if this will help against all the script kiddies crashing servers? Some nights it really sucks to play because of this.

Just to clarify here, I had this problem for some reason on windows 7 anyway, went black tabbing back in, took a while but eventually got ingame. Might be related. I only briefly tried the new patch but later I will be trying with different forms of AA and such.
