since none of the other Mods have got the backing of communities and the time, sense or sheer golden balls to do this, i'm sure it'll go down well as being known for introducing decent audio samples into the game for voice and sound efx. it'll shame others, let's hope they don't nick the sounds when it's released!

Ok...I defiantly see a need for a more in-depth guide on how you guys should go about doing this. Fullforce’s guide covered the basics, but I think it missed a few key points. I’m working on it right now.

I had the privilege of sitting in on a commentary recording session for an Animal Planet (Discovery Channel sub-network) documentary on leatherback sea turtles. Part of the documentary was filmed at the beach in my home town and they rented a recording studio at Screen Gem Studios (largest movie production studio on the east coast) where I was interning at the time. I have to say that it was the most boring experience of my life, but I did learn quite a bit. Luckily, I only had to sit through two hours of it…lmao!

Anyways, I will try to use both the knowledge I gained from sitting in on the commentary recording and my experience doing post-production work on films to give you guys some pointers and tips for recording the best quality voice-overs possible.

Can't wait to hear these sounds in game for the British side. Also if someone could zip all the voice files up into one for me to listen to I would really like it.

whoever has control of this forum, up the filesize attachments please. just the .zip one, so we can make it more convenient to add one .zip with multiple files in it

'[R-PUB wrote:Fullforce']Whoa... I'd be awesome at this... :p lol.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO RECORD:
Please read my short guide I made for the Sir. Community - it should help you make a good, clean recording quickly and with little hassle.

http://wiki.sircommunity.com/index.php/ ... your_voice

Audacity can also convert and open .oog files. Perfick.
umm not 100% correct about it can save in the .ogg format. It can save .ogg BUT this is not the same format that BF2 uses of ogg and it will not work ingame. You will need to download the BF2 sound tool which i do not have a link for cos the editor forums are offline.

You guys will actruly cause us more work if you save them in .ogg format with Audacity than if you just saved them in .wav to be frank...
