sorry for my unclearness but what i meant to say was that i think we should put the discussion on ice and rather have it at a later stage in the development.MonkeySoldier wrote:You knew that you could expect such a response from people. The M82 will mostly be used, since the Norwegian Army is using it as an Anti Personnel rifle. I have discussed it with the DEVs and the others on the PR R-CON forum..
One of the PR Military Advisers dislike that we are using it since we are using it as an Anti Material rifle to take take rid of scum.
The M82 will not be effective against "killing" the vehicle but it will be a good tool to take rid of the driver or some passengers. Since it will use non explosive rounds.
You wont get enough time to fire all of your rounds to kill a vehicle, cause most of the 50. cal use at least 30 rounds to kill one car and they can fire them a way faster than a M82 rifle.
I have updated the Norwegian Design plans so they will fit for the future:

Honestly, that looks all wrong. The AG3 should be ditched for the HK416 in just about every case. Even the Chair Force have got them these days.

^^ And giving Mp5 to the rifleman specialist is IMO a BIG mistake.

I think its a good idea to keep the AG3 on some maps, its still a weapon we use, they still have it in Afghanistan and many of the Home Guard districts have it also. It will be more fun to play when we can use some different weapons...[R-MOD]KP wrote:Honestly, that looks all wrong. The AG3 should be ditched for the HK416 in just about every case. And we can also imagine that the battle found place last year etc..
The Norwegian Army are in a changing process, so I think its nice to use some old and new weapons... But that's my opinion.
You got the AG3 when you served in the ARMY i will maybe get the Hk 416 or the AG3 i don't know, but I will find it out soon
There is a lot of different units and many different weapons on the "move" in the Norwegian Army; G36, AG3, C8, MG3, Glock 17, M82, Hk 416/417 etc... So it will be nice to use some of them since the game allows us to do it

Didn't notice that at first. Yeah, should definitely be changed. I'll quote an ex-TMBN lieutenant on this: "The MP5 is worthless in Afghanistan." And, besides, the specialist rifleman is just a rifleman with some breaching kit.Kirra wrote:^^ And giving Mp5 to the rifleman specialist is IMO a BIG mistake.
The AG3 w/ACOG is good for the DMR, but that's just about the only place it's fitting in this context. I was issued the AG3 (and wouldn't have had the 416 for all in the world), but that's because the Border Guards were just about the last unit to get the new rifle. The new guys starting up now in January will be getting the HK416.[R-COM]pleym wrote:I think its a good idea to keep the AG3 on some maps, its still a weapon we use, they still have it in Afghanistan and many of the Home Guard districts have it also. AG3s, G36s, C8s have all been replaced with the HK416 for "front-line" units, including HV-I (and the rest of HV would hardly be used as the first thing to meet the Russians).

Well I think we stick to the kit plan as it is now, to make the game play more interesting, so can we do changes after the beta testing once in the future if there is some thing that screws up the teamplay.[R-MOD]KP wrote:Didn't notice that at first. But what I told
Hk 416 will be most used in Afghanistan, I think its good with some variation between the AG3 and the Hk 416. We cant lock the faction to only use one weapon model in-game.. I'm sure that most of the players want some different weapons also, to make it more fun to play.[R-COM]pleym wrote:I think its a good idea to keep the AG3 on some maps, its still a weapon we use, they still have it in Afghanistan and many of the Home Guard districts have it also. Re: [MEDIA] Norwegian Forces feedback
That's why its nice with a small mix, and why i have crated two "groups" with kits, if you check the "kit plan" you will see how it will begazzthompson wrote:also remember PR is near future... so the transition would be almost/fully done.
If we wanna make it 100% reality we also have to give pistols to everyone etc, there are few soldiers walking around with no sidearm.
We got over 200 000 AG3s in the Norwegian Army. So it doesn't make sense that everyone get replaced with the Hk 416 in a year. And i still see that they use it on photos from the Norwegian army, and i will enter it my self soon
Well I think the kit plan looks nice now, changes will be made if needed after the beta testing once in the future...

Re: [MEDIA] Norwegian Forces feedback
Pleym you get HK416 a friend is in the CSS and he got the 416,
Its looking okay, but I think with the woodland winter you should mix it up alittle more like giving the Officer scope the H&K with ACOG and problibly one of the riflemens aswell since H&K has been given out for years now and the only reason it has not been given out to every unit small as big is because H&K had trouble with the production or something, the plan was that every unit would have had it for a year ago or more.
Anyway looking good as long as you have the DEVS blessing

Re: [MEDIA] Norwegian Forces feedback
Dude, most of those AG3s aren't actually in use. There aren't 200000 soldiers in the Norwegian military.[R-COM]pleym wrote:

And, yes, all the active-duty units' AGs have been replaced by HKs, except for the Border Guards (as far as I know), who are getting them now in January.
And go easy on the ACOGs. Those aren't standard issue, but are bought by soldiers because they're good kit. Too bad they have to spend their own money on things like that - the ACOG costs somewhere between 1000 and 2000 USD, depending on model.

Grenadier/Grenader dont know the actual typing on the name.
It must not be seen as the Grenade launcher class.
You should use the Grenader name its the "rank" that separates the professionals in TMBN and the conscripts.
