I dont like to play with kids because I feel inhibited. I dont want to expose them to my swearing etc. Also, being radically (Not really a radical opinion though =)) anti child soldiering IRL doesnt mix well with fighting with them in a game that tries to mimic real life. 16 should be a minimum age for PR IMO.

I'm finding it funny that people don't think 12 year olds should be exposed to anything to do with the military, when 12 is the minimum age for the Army Cadet Force, where Cadets learn military tactics, how to use weapons, and do realistic training operations, where they aim down the sights of their L98A2 at Their mates playing Enemy, pull the trigger (blank rounds) and then go "Whoop I popped Sar'nt In his ***!" ;)

you might not realise it but your instructors are creating a clean and safe environment for you to do this

ingame you can be exposed to ideas and concepts from older players that your parents may not wish you to.

I'm not particularly worried that you'll go insane, get a shotgun and sit in your local church tower to shoot people, but experiences when you are young will affect you, and we want you to grow up to be a valuable member of society who is fully capable of making his own decisions safely and independantly.

we only want what is best for the younger players, when they reach 16 they would be able to play to their heart's content, but protecting the younger players is important imo.

their are more retards above 16.

Serious..
And being 14 or younger doenst make you a bad player, everyone that makes stupid jokes ingame i tell em to f*ck off and mostly kick em out.

What is worse bullying a kid or let him just play a game.
If you make clear rules with someone they understand it, most of the time its the older guys that are more stubborn and dont follow shit, while if you be polite to 14 year and below and tell em your rules they will obey them 9/10 times.

I mean, everyone always says its the 12 year olds grabbing sniper kits, choppers and shit, while its mostly the abit more older people grabbing them.

Some people here exegarate, or whatever its spelled.

Putting its moral and ethic part to one side I wanna give my opinion about playing with 12 y/o boys.

First time I met with PR I hate it. I was a hardcore BF2 player at that time and PR was just a nightmare for me. Couldn't see anyone, couldn't shot any shit even couldn't notice where should I go. Now I'm a fan of PR because I discovered that its much more serious and quality than any other game I play. It is much more real, it much more depends on team work, communication, patience and tactics. It is not only simple shoot and kill game. And because I don't believe that a 12 y/o boy can't see the things in that way sorry but no I do not wanna play with them. (of course I'm not talking about kids who grew up middle of a war with the guns in their hands who will never be in PR servers!)

I'm sorry if I'm little bit negative and condescend about this but I believe somethings and some visions can be gained only by experience

So you are saying 14 years and lower cant see where they should go and dont know how to follow orders?
you know theirs a big flag on the map right telling you where to attack or defend?

And i know its more the older guys that are being pathetic.
Most of the time when i get a kid in my squad he comes in and asks; ''what kit do you want me squadleader?''
And ill let him stick to a rifleman or something or give him a special job sometimes.

You guys make 12 year olds sound like retards while they aint.
And prove to be better learners than most 16 and older becouse those are stubborn and tell that they know how to play the game and seem not to follow orders to well.

Thats just my view if you compare the average 14 year old or lower with the average 16 year or older.

Second off this made me giggle from my experiences in Cadets, safe? Clean?

Roughly 50% of Cadets on Camp are too injured or ill to carry on by the end of the week, and a surprisingly large number are in hospital.

When I was in we were still using the L98A1, the safety range when firing blanks with this weapon is 50m - that was ignored all the time and the Instructors didn't care. Several times when training without rifles Contacts ended up in a punch up.

Also I'm finding it difficult to think of any (and I mean ANY) concepts that a 12 y/o could be exposed too in PR that they couldn't In cadets, infact I'd say Cadets was ALOT worse.

A 12 y/o is not a little baby any more - they are growing up and should be exposed to this kind of thing, I mean I joined Cadets at 14 and I matured very quickly and it taught me alot about real life rather than the fuzzy little world I lived in before - and tbh I'm very glad it did.

Back during my Counterstrike days, I used to ban kids on sight.

It kept the server running smooth. Less drama, less high pitched whining, and less insulting.

Unless we had an admin come in blazed. In which case everyone was usually zapped/slapped/timebombed etc.

(clan was mostly stoners)

Therein lies the problem, that your Colour Sergeant and MrD could have been one in the same, and 12 year olds shouldn't be spending time with such people, or listening to what they have to say.

Also, your cadets sound messed up, and isn't comparable to any other normal cadets, because mine was fun and all, but not that 50% of people were injured or in hospital.

Our cadets were incredibly fun (The Camps were a Sh*t state but oh well) but it's not a "safe and clean" environment.

Make that 15, and then I shall agree with you.

I did my work experience in the airforce, and lets just say it was abit more brutal than what you would get in a game of PR.

Yes, some twelve year olds can play PR without a problem. They will probably have a hard time recognizing what is reality on the field, and what is reality when it comes to counter strike. But as mentioned above, some can be smarter than +18 year old players. Again all the experience I have is softgun, and the one week in hell so i´m probably annoying to play with too :p Do remember that underaged snipers were not unheard of in the jugoslavian conflict and belive me, you wouldnt want to be on the other end of their dragunov... :-)
