graphix h4x

They increased the view distance (just to take pix) then Photoshop'd them.
Information:

* 23 total maps
* 8 new maps
* USA featured in 7 maps
* GB featured in 6 maps
* Russia featured in 5 maps
* Chechen Militia featured in 5 maps
* USMC featured in 4 maps
* Insurgents featured in 4 maps
* MEC featured in 3 maps
* PLA featured in 3 maps
* Taliban featured in 3 maps
* IDF featured in 3 maps
* Hamas featured in 2 maps
* Canada featured in 1 map
We're gonna have more than 23 maps. Canada needs 1 more. Maps
At least two maps, created by/for your faction. All maps have to be completed and of course, should meet the PR standard

Then, you have to account for the maps they won't tell us about or aren't done at this time of posting.

The IDF will be fighting Russia ("Beirut", the newer highlights show that map and one of the Devs, said it's IDF vs Rus), so 1 more map for Russia.

So, I'd say 24-31 maps.

Each map seems to contain a set of four pictures, with each picture showing off a different part of the map being shown. I'll try and name all the maps, giving references for each.

USA = US Army

IDF = Israeli Defence Force

Exactly. NOOOO!!

I'm fine with removing most of the oldest maps, but DAMN NOT Operation Ghost Train (OGT). Its the most epic and funniest jungle map ever, and in fact one of the few good jungle maps. You dont dare to remove it! I've actually played a lot of OGT lately, its a map that I have always liked.

PUT OGT (ONLY OGT) BACK IN BEFORE v0.9 FINAL, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have read the whole thread and it seems like I'm not the only one.. ;) :D Looking in the levels folder OGT is only 30.7MB which is quite small compared to the other maps, so it doesn't mean that much to the filesize. Please put it back, only OGT that is! :)

I think the PR Devs are trying to purge all the smaller maps... (besides Asad Khal, it seems)

Is it confirmed that Operation Ghost Train is going?

Because it would be a big mistake. OGT is a great infantry map and it's really fun to play.

I say remove one of the Militia vs Russia instead. They are all the same thing anyway. Same shit different names.

The RU/CH maps are the best! OGT is alright but i don't mind that much seeing it go, especially with all the new maps coming in v0.9.

Pics are looking really nice, especially with the one with the Prypiat Ferris wheel! :D

Are those gorgeous pics untouched screenshots, or have you photoshopped them somehow, like adjusted colors or something? At least you have full screen AA on, if I saw correctly (FSAA is nice, but it will blur the console text too).

I just can't wait for wannabe snipers to get in that 13-storey building, so EVERYONE on the map knows where to actually shoot. :D

Removing other old maps is ok as they are quite outdated, but OGT still plays fine - BELIEVE ME! I've had a lot of funny, epic and awesome firefights on OGT lately. Bring it back! ;)

All of these new maps seem absolutely awesome! But I very much agree, Op Ghost Train is one of the best maps I've played in PR because of it's intensity. The limited visibility and the dense jungle vegitation makes it a very exciting map. Enemies can pop up almost anywhere and at any time. It has that raw, scary close-quarters-combat-in-the-jungle feeling.
I don't really see what's outdated either, could someone enlighten me?
