cool idea. if the is train boardable make the train slow because of snow! they could definitly make some sort of objective based game from this idea. whether the train is interactive or just moving static. reminds me of armored core lol 8-)

Yeah, maybe if a map was made were one team had to capture an objective that would help the teams maneuverability. Possibly a rocky map on a mountain or something :-D <- Please dont take it too seriously if what I am saying is garbage. I have been to school for twelve hours straight, and I still have an essay to write :26_suicid

I was thinking that having a train in Lakshar valley would be pretty sweet and all give insurgents more ways of fighting or have people mine the train and then weait untill it gets to a stop and wait until Americans search thinking that an insurgent is inside and then well you know

you would defo need a 4x4 to a 8x8 map for this to work and to be interesting at the same time and have lots of different scenery like valleys and swamps/jungle/forest areas to give lots of different firefights

I cant imagine that they have a train track in Lashkar Valley, but if they do then yeah sure... Might need some sources on it first though

Well i wasn't going for historical accuracy I was just thinking adding the train tracks

maybe the train is transporting supplies to villagers or military and it must be stopped/defended

I hated CTF there was almost nowhere to hide and where you did hid you qickly learned the opposition new that hiding spot and you almost alwasy got ambushed, artyed, sniped, blown up( C4, grenade, mine) before you could capture the only slution was to move all the time and that looked really unrealistic and stupid plus who captures flag poles and hoists their country flag up in the middle of a combat zone? :!:

I had in mind more like the train is fucked up and keeps stoping...

but your thought is really cool.

Train can is still used for resupply/vehicle transport you know, also there might be a WMD in the train or anything.

Operation Ghost Train was orginally meant to be somekind of objective map based around a train IIRC...

actually you could make the train stop because of a destroyed track or bridge which would take the place of a flag (have to stop to fix track). to make the gamemode more complex you could have the track split in 2 at some point so the enemy doesn't know which direction the train is going at first.

snow could be a reason for the train to move slowly.

another idea is if you dont control the destroyed portion of the track fast enough the train could just derail and your team loses.

Iam pretty sure derailing a train is impossible in BF2 engine

VBF2 mod about planet Mars or something had a train

I would love CQC in a train wherer roof is accessible

why not a moveable ship instead of a train?

i know there is a "pirate influenced map" with a big ship model. that could be used, hm?
also it is possible to stay alive in moving objects, like BF2142 shows it with its titan-mode.

In bf2 it is possible, but much much more glitchy.
