Training was undeniably useful for machinimas and teaching new clanmates how to use the PR systems, but I definitely understand the problem with servers using it for deathmatch-style rounds.
You could try (if you wanted) to have python check if it's not a local training server, and if that's so it would begin as normal - that way training could come back, but not be abused by servers.
When you're making a movie or someone's trying to learn to fly the helicopter in a safe environment, fast respawns of players and vehicles are required in my opinion; it's not feasible to have to wait around for yonks for a new APC because the bomber didn't blow it up how you wanted

Once i saw a dude crashing his jet in a popular coop server, and a admin said "STOP WASTING TEH ASSETS" and kicked the poor newbie player, now this is great, you guys removed the training map and added the coop, the bots are chuck norris in the sky and we can't practice on jets, and we can't even use a armor without getting bombed by a stupid *** bot...
You guys said that coop isn't made for training, and theres no training maps anymore... so, how do we train? local server? start the map... wait 20min for the first spawn, and then wait more 20min if we crash the aircraft.
I know, the coop is good, sometimes me and my friends create a coop server in a skirmish map and we have some fun klling bots etc...
maybe the old training system would bring back the old players that were usually raping the main bases etc. But instead of the old training system, it would be nice if we had a training map, with a runway, target ranges for the jets... for the infantry, some mountains with trees for heli practice... etc and make something that wouldn't allow the players to play in diferent sides, i mean a map with only 1 faction...

Ugh..
For 0.95 we've disabled SP aircraft for humans, if you get into a _sp version of a jet or helicopter intended for bots, you'll get a black screen and be forced out via message (like if you get into a tank with no crewman kit), so no more 'why do the helis handle so weird'.
Additionally, rcon debug on local servers was also enabled, though not sure if that was just for testing or release, but you can enable it yourself after release. It allows you to spawn stuff via chat text at your own pleasure and also disable kit requirements so if you really want to, you can spawn a dozen A10s in the middle of Kashan and fly them with a rifleman kit.

I am also asking the devs to please reconsider reinstating the training mode.
Change whatever you like about it except for the following:
- Significantly reduced vehicles respawn times
- No kit restrictions in amount or in dependence on amount of players on team or squad
I am playing this game now for several years but never got around to practise flying. Certainly I wont give it a try on a regular server and I would hate to juggle with different files in my PR installation directory because I had to edit a few of them for the purpose of training. Also there is no "safe" way of practising the mortar and a few different things that were introduced as of late. And there probably will be even more things coming up in future releases. There really should be a convenient, easy to use way to wrap your head around all these things and that was the training mode in the past.
Please bring it back! I know you will find a solution!

Now that sounds like we are onto something here.
Could you please provide additional information on how to enable that rcon debug and what commands you can use ?

If it is actually enabled, just type rcon debug in console, and rcon spawn xxx to spawn stuff.

How to spawn a kit with rcon, and is rcon debug enabled in .95 local servers?

This server has it enabled:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f10-pr ... ining.html
When you are in the server type "Rcon debug"
Then if you want to spawn an A10 for example type:
rcon spawner us_jet_a10a
To get the exact name of the specific asset that you want to use you have to go to:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\objects
Then open any intended .zip for example, If you are looking for a vehicle name, You have to open:
"Vehicles_Client.zip"
and then go to air for example and lookup the jet name.
For example you want the German Eurofighter, Its called in that file:
"ger_jet_eurofighter"
You type:
rcon spawner ger_jet_eurofighter

The Coop servers are still full of noobs that love to team kill and destroy friendly assets, can't really train, and the bots have insta kill laser bombs and bullets. Training mode MUST return. Sure, it's fun to train against bots, but not when they have tighter turning jets...
