@ Rudd, I agree that there needs to be room for compromise, however I tend to disagree with your last staement that helicopters are the only thing about PR.
was describing the inflexibilities of one of the camps in the arguement, I'm not in one of the camps :)
The PR devs have modestly stated that the infantry gameplay elements are far from perfect, and they are always changing to try and find the perfect balance. The fact that the general impression is the exact opposite in many statements in regards to AH pilots and abilities is aggrevating, and is probably the cause for the focus on them more specifically in the early stages of change at the very least.
I get the impression that its more that there aren't any DEVs with the required skills with the time and inclination to do the work as their dance card is already full of other just as necessary projects.

which is why I'm hoping that a few of the CA features can be ported to PR, however I am rather a n00b at modding, I can do some, but I'm a mapper, I've spent a long time doing tutorials and learning how to do it, and I have my own projects, I've done some work such as extracting the CA flight physics for the huey and applying them to the PR huey as a demonstration, however there is now a fear that they aren't fast enough - though far more realistic in their behaviour and easier to fly. I am planning on making a hybrid of pr and CA flight physics to see how that goes. But as I said, I've got enough on my plate, as does everyone else.

Someone has gotta step up since everyone is already working on stuff :)

Source?
For almost a year there is an alternative in CA. If people think that is better they can play it or ask it, right?
Combined Arms is a testing facility if it can be put that way. Its proof that certain things can be made with the bf2 engine, and most things that have been made are quite amazing. But as it is now most time has been spent in testing and creating new alternatives for the current Heavy Assest handling and abilities, and not for stable 64/64 servers running for hours at a time.

So many posts about this matter but actually only 30 people from all PR's community.
And i wonder: The DEVs are forcing the players to a gameplay that's not liked by them or these 30 people?
There is a difference between not liking something and suggesting alternative changes to make that certain area more efficient.

There is no need to remake the whole constitution just because you want the legal voting age changed, you can get a majority of votes and make a reform instead.
