or you could use mini grids?????
also are you saying that ballistics is less realistic than tracers? you can choose not to have tracers irl but you can't choose wether to have ballistics or not?

Its an interesting dilemma... specifically as PR gets larger and larger view distances and maps.

I'd like LMGs to lose their laser based accuracy somewhat, but appearantly having tracers doesn't help. On the converse I see a beautiful reason to give tracers to LMGs as it aids in surpression and allows us to know where they are at.

Giving real ballistics to guns seems like a bonus to me and I'd rather sacrifice tracers (which I damn many times for revealing me) than to switch the whole community to BF2142. By ridding tracers and improving ballistics you make ranged combat much more interesting as shots won't be accurate 100% unless skilled and scoped. This would make the LMG, who has better accuracy than a standard rifle, more important... gah!

We might nerf the rifle and OP (even more) the LMG...

And communication between squads or elements of squads is normally done of VOIP and grid based location. If I'm capable I'll zero in a point marker to know if they are accurate.
