Oh yes, silly me, the idea's completely original in that case.Celestial1 wrote:The Vanilla BF2 menu background video could only be considered a UAV feed if UAVs flew at about 20m altitude.

Well for what its worth, on the coding aspect, with the ninja code etc, I'm willing to sign whatever NDA i need to (i've been part of many betas that require them) /my firstborn / what have you... That is if dead.pixel even wants my help coding.[R-DEV]AncientMan wrote:Alright, I cannot share the PR fla's, since they contain some code that if leaked, would be pretty bad. And for those thinking that you can just decompile the PR fla's, sure you can, but the code is pretty ninja, and doesn't show in the decompiled files. So you will have to use the files that I put in that tutorial on the bf editor forums.
Anyway, so, I am also working on a new menu redesign, since there are some things in this menu that I don't like so much (I do like some things though).
However... What I propose is this. We both make our own menus, once they are done, we put it to the devs (or maybe the community), and see which one they like the best. If the devs pick yours, we probably put you up to R-CON or something, then we work with your files to do some tweaks to include the stuff that you'll be missing (since you'll be working off bf2 files instead of pr's), and yours goes in. If the devs pick mine, mine goes in. In that case, I dunno, maybe you could ask around some other mod teams if they wish to have your menu, so your work doesn't go to waste.
So, what do you reckon about that dead.pixel?

This one is awesome!dead.pixel wrote:So, since I don't have access to the dog tags and some downtime at work today I threw together my own PR logo:

i agree, i like the plain one better than the chrome. nice jobKain888 wrote:This one is awesome!![]()
Can you make it 1600X900?dead.pixel wrote:So, since I don't have access to the dog tags and some downtime at work today I threw together my own PR logo:
Very quick. didn't spend my usual hours of sketching, researching and building. But I am happy with it.
.

Yeah, it looks a little more.. "normal" when everythings aligned like that.Reddeath wrote:I agree with shockunitblack, don't get me wrong I love the concept but I mess around alot with photoshop and one thing that I like in a logo is uniform and alignment.
That is the way I see it and I believe what shock is trying to say, the D and P have matching insides, and the R goes down to the chevron and does as the P does.

While that is a good idea in theory, the more hands in the pot the worse the cake will taste. Not to reference either AMan or pixel's skills, but there is no doubt another mod would want to pick up his stuff if it wasn't accepted. Why don't you work together using what's available to both of you, and then once a compromise is made, you can add in all of the features that PR has available? I don't see the point is making two separate designs of which only one will be chosen and implemented, when you could combine ideas to make a great one.
Yea not alot you can do about that with the letters P and R rofldead.pixel wrote:Yeah good point. Like I said it was really quick during some downtime at work. Though I am not sure I like the negative space in those adjustments, something I will definitely mess around with though.
That is not entirely true. The extended R closes of the bottom too much making the R seem much larger and almost resemble a P more than an R. After playing around with it and consulting with some other designers I have decided to stick with the original design. But I like the critical thinking.Reddeath wrote:Yea not alot you can do about that with the letters P and R rofl
I have to disagree actually. It is very common for interfaces to be worked on by multiple people, each handling a certain aspect. Like a website, I usually design a website but rarely do I code it. Not to say that is what I expect, just saying 2 is hardly a crowddtacs wrote:While that is a good idea in theory, the more hands in the pot the worse the cake will taste.
