AH-64

Is there any potential for getting the Mastiff in PR:bf2? I would love to drive one of those beasts around in Basrah, shedding lead at all those in my way. I'm guessing it comes down to the modeler and how well the poly count scales down.

Ofcourse you really are joking about this really being a British Apache? And the US Army is going to be a faction in the first release right?? I seem to recall you already had a Brit model when you first announced A2 PR - http://media.realitymod.com/news/arma/p ... olding.jpg

No we are going to make the featured Apache into a British Apache, along with a US Apache versions naturally since this one has a lot more detail etc than the current one.

I'm not part of the PR:ARMA2 team so I can't say for sure but I believe that Apache model in the screen shot above is either the same Apache we have in PR:BF2 or is the Apache in ARMA2 that's modified slightly. One of the ARMA2 guys would have to confirm which but in time the plan is to replace it with the one featured in this news post.

We do plan on back porting the Mastiff 2 to PR:BF2 yes.

So can you at least confirm that the US ARMY will indeed be a playble faction in the first release?

You really think that's going to make us put a mi-24 in? We will put a Hind in when we are good and ready too :)

WOW! Looks awesome!

What if there was an AC 130 that you would have to pilot but there was some way the inurgents could destroy it that would be awesome!!

The maps are way too small for an AC 130, even our big maps are really too small for fixed wing aircraft.

This looks awesome!

I have an idea for future consideration, possibly an AC 130 that you can pilot and use for parachute transport. I know it wuld be unfair so you could figure out a way to make it so the opposing team could shoot it down. Just an idea love to see it! Keep up the good work guys!

Are there any plans for the Panther CLV, or was that more exclusive to PRA?

As mentioned many times before, the Panther CLV will also be in PR:BF2, in fact it was made for PR:BF2 it just went on an ARMA2 highlight :p

wait so does it mean your gonna make it? at some point? if not then Im just wondering why wont you guys add it, for MEC at least? dont more countries operate the mi-35 as opposed to the mi-28 (err I know I shouldnt trust wiki but it says only Russia and Venezuela use the 28 as opposed to just about every one else who uses a 24 or 35)

British faction is a priority and a big task on its own. While making new Apache for brits its wise to make other versions too. If something is in the news, doesn't mean it is meant for next release.

Dont think anybody ever said "we decided not to make it" :-P its just not a priority at all.
