Go on, I'll give this a go...
Ingame name: Bruxy
Age: 26 (for another couple of weeks...)
Experience in FPS/Tactical Games: FPS since Wolfenstein and Duke Nukem. Online FPS since TF:Classic back in '98. Tactical? Define it. I've played RTS for years, but I've never seen anything quite like PR so it's difficult to answer.
What made you aware of PR: UK_Force. I know him through work, and he's been nudging me for ages.
What do you expect: Based on first impressions, lots of downtime waiting for a half-decent squad. I get it that this isn't exactly arcade - and it doesn't phase me a bit.
Who are you: I'm awesome. I play computer games for a living, helping the British Armed Forces train for combat. It doesn't really get that much better.
Edit to add: I may be signing up now, but it's Christmas so I won't be about for a couple of weeks! I'll be keeping an eye on the forum, though.

If you got xfire, you can join the training group.. Once you're in you can find me there as instructor. I mostly play as infantry but also like to fly transport. I assume you know how to fly in BF2v, for PR the major differences are:
- The "30sec warm-up" (don't try to take off in this period or the chopper will most likely crash).
- The "S" key will make your chopper drop really fast don't ever hold this button only tap it (suggest you test holding it at an altitude of 300+ so you know what it does).
- The tail rotor doesn't function at high speeds so you need to roll the chopper to steer at high speeds.
The rest is pretty much the same as normal BF2 and practice will make sure you get to know the handling, landing can be difficult as well at times. I used to create a coop without bots and then fly around the map trying to land in all spots I could come up with.
For planes I suggest watching this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv99q75O_f0
Practice makes perfect.
OK. Didnt know ping wasn't a big deal...even though the gameplay is indeed slow, wouldn't it interfere with the killing?
Thanks. Making an xfire right now.
Thanks for the outreach

Thank you punkbuster.
Just a heads up! Anyone who has played PR quite alot can be a Instructor. All i ask is that you when you have time look through the xfire group that i made, and see if there is anyone there online that doesnt have a Instructor TAG. Then contact that person about training.
Its not very complicated, and id like to get more Instructors, cause now i have to few. Anyone can help!

Good to see you have the right expectations mate

It is slow paced, and every adrenaline rush is worth the time it takes.
And the only way to be as manly as me, is if you were made into a Norwegian.
