It seems plain enough to me.
I think part of the problem is that some people pay for and control servers and some people don't.
The people that don't seem to feel that their feelings are more important.
Sniper kits attract certain kinds of people and in my limited experience 95% of those kinds of people are ineffectual to say the least and leaves the 5% out in the cold.
On the other hand, that 5% usually doesn't have a problem getting or using the kit and so doesn't need any special consideration.
So in the end, we will continue to hate on and discriminate against sniper types.
Perhaps you could appeal to the UN ?

Snipers are now much more useful as the wounded cost ticket and there are mortars. I like and find useful to have proper recon squad or cas spotter.

And if someone is not following orders just report him.

This discussion has no point.
The sniper haters are argueing with the things which compose a sniper kit. long range fire, which means you dont have to be directly in the fight, lethal damage and accuracy, which means its the best small arm ingame, GLTD, which means you can lase positions at or behind the frontline for CAS missions. all this means you dont have to stick with the team to be benefiting itself.
seeing a sniper lonewolfing somewhere doesnt mean hes not doing his job, cause you dont see enemy units on the map, do you? the snipers operational range is huge, so sticking with the team close behind the frontline would be a waste of ressources. on the biggest maps a sniper can easily overwatch 9 map sectors and lase every enemy unit he spots in this area.
just leave a sniper alone then youre not interfering his operations.
if you need him, ask him. he cant know everything, hes not a god.
and all in all, its just another kit, so why mad? there are skills wasted much worse so WHY did you chose the sniper kit to flame at?

Maybe it is because snipers are not all that useful on the whole and that judgement comes from many hours of playing, not from following the sniper.
A quick look at his score will tell you if he is hitting anything and watching chat or listening to Mumble will tell you if he is providing recon or lase markers.
IF the sniper is in the CAS squad, the presumption is that he IS doing his job as a spotter but far too often the sniper is not in a position to hit anything and isn't providing any useful intel.
The more you defend them and the more you attack those who don't like them the more you sound just like the useless wanna-be types who put their kit above the needs of the team or the squad.

it is clear to me. I know how you feel when someone joins your squad and "steals" a kit.
But if you look at it open-minded: theres no difference if someone just joins your squad and leaves and if someone joins the squad grabs a kit you wont need anyway and leaves, or am i wrong? it might make you feel betrayed but then you should also feel betrayed if someone just joins and leaves but then you dont know WHY he leaves.

You really don't get it.
If you need to join and then leave a squad to getthe sniper kit that means you are alone ( only 2 needed to get sniper kit) and if you are lonewolfing a sniper kit and don't have the basic courtesy to ask/inform the SL what you are doing then it is very likely you are going to waste the kit.

if people just joins and leaves my squad for no reason. I do get sad.

"waste" the kit no longer really applies, I can run with a HAT kit in the middle of a fallujah and it will be better for my team than running with a scoped m16.

A m16 without a scope does not promote long range firefights. It Promotes CQB. In CQB being more is better than being one. Cause you cant look in a 100 directions at once, but as a sniper, you only rely on yourself to look in one.

The point is, if you have a kit that has an insane scope, and bolt/semi action. You wont be in the front or around anyone who can give away your position.

With a Semi automatic/burst action rifle, you have to rely on others to ensure your flanks are coverd, since the time it takes to turn your rifle left or right, will affect your deviation.

and btw callousdisregard, i think YOU dont get MY point. You cant request the same kit twice in one squad, so if you wanna make a sniper squad ONE of the snipers has to be requested in a different squad. so if he does in your squad it doesnt automatically mean hes lonewolfing, which additionally doesnt mean that he is wasting the kit.
that is a fact and if you say its not youre wrong.
i tell you some secret: if a sniper is NOT lonewolfing and sticking with a whole squad where hes forced to move with them and probably forced in low range firefights, THEN the kit is wasted.
if hes lonewolfing hes got a much higher mobility and thats whats important for a sniper to stay alive.

If someone comes to your house and takes a TV you never used or planned to use.
