Spawned in left the Mosque and spot a guy. I walk right up to him while he is facing the other direction. It ends with him turning around and unloading a shotty in my face. (Didn't know that US could use our kits and when they did they got a head wrap.)

Re-spawned grabbed a car, SL asked me to pick the squad up. Once they all loaded up and i took off the SL takes his time to tell me "You drive like my grandmother".

After I dropped them off and spending some time trying to find out what a LB was (found out the hard way). I exit the game and RTFM.

Don't we all missing being a noob?

First game I loaded into was a close to end EJOD Desert in 0.75.. We (MEC) had only 20 tickets left. Had an awesome first round on Jabal USMC after that.

Join a squad as insurgent. Spawn at village..
To my surprise village is getting hammered by two LAVs
and squadmates are dying all over the place.

Me, being a noob is like "AAAAA what da fxxk is going on?"
Sl screams to me to pick up the RPG from a fallen SM.
I do not even know where it is or how to pick it up.
SL almost have a mental breakdown and the rest of the squad tries despretly to help me and i finaly find the kit and the right button.
With shaking hands i manage to get a rocket on a LAV and it blows up. Cheers from everyone!
The other APC withdraws and it gets quiet..

Then i hear a great roar from the skies and everything explodes around me (A10).
I die..
But i am happy.
What a game!

Muttrah maybe 0.6 or something as MEC. Littlebird landed right in front of me and i was like wee, easy kills. Didnt hit once and died. Next time i played it was 0.7 or 0.75 and loved it.

since the minimod era... i think it was the first release ever...i dont know the map but i spawned on a carrier... and got shot by a sniper hehe

and then... first kill without a crosshair and lil bit better teamplay as in vanilla bf2...
i would say it was love at first sight...

Gulf of Oman PRMM 0.1 But the first PR built map was Muttrah on 0.3, very different in those days. Aaaah, when an awesome release consisted of a re-textured model, one or two locked classes and some coding changes.

For me it was Battle for Qinling back at 0.7 but I had like 3 FPS so you can't count that!
When I upgraded my PC, I first played Kashan with 100 FPS

Some of my very first memories of PR 0.1 are fighting for the bridge on Strike at Karkand, and being able to have my squad members freely spawn on me, as a squad leader = loads of fun

For me it was one of the vanilla maps, but I dont remember really.

Seemed ridiculously real to me (coming from vBF2). I actually considered putting the game down because I really had no interest in re-enacting the bad things that occured to members of both sides there.. (I didn't though, once I realised it was still just a game - not a history lesson!).
