edit: someone confirmed from the enemy team that he heard me over voip
We had the saem issue a couple of days ago on the *NwA* server only for one round. It was a glitch with VOIP not mumble. The VOIP squad settings carried over from the last round. So no matter what squad or team you was in you could hear you squad mates from the round before through VIOP. Other member of your squad if they wasnt in the same squad with you last round couldnt hear you and you couldnt hear them.
I had no comms with Speedhound via VOIP in my new squad, But did have VOIP with Benny0 who wasnt in my squad but was the round before. Also some reported to have comms with the enemy team via VOIP who they was in a squad with the round before. But got autobalance or switch teams (ggrrr)
Clear as mud

Haha, that's an awesome bug XD.
Were you the only person in the squad to have it?

Other people had it too, but they could hear different people. I was mainly hearing the squadleader of an infantry squad.

Were you SL as well?
Perhaps it has something to do with parallelism or something...

I wasn't, but I think the SL of the opposing team could hear my SL...

Man, I heard a whole other squad from the other side and they talked constantly and some language I could not understand, was damn annoying.
Luckily tho, noticed you can mute them, just look at the scores and when they talk their little voip icon will light up, then press it once and he is muted, It doesn't turn to X or anything but you won't hear him again.

Mech Inf squad on Kashan FTW! Half the squad crashed mid-game leaving us stranded with an APC and a Supply Truck, but we made it back and to the top squad. The awesome, it's too much!

My experience:
When the server is free of non-mumblers and griefers - it's quite playable.
I was used playing on (elitist) servers (TG, PRTA) where you play week after week with the same players, all of them vets. Here, half of the people never used mumble before, and in the eyes of people I play with that means... well, you know... good old blue guy. Third faction in battle.
I read somewhere people were complaining about the way we were admining, comparing us with Nazis. Yeah, I think my kicking rate was actually faster than Nazi killing rate. And I apologize for my mistakes, specially to guys from Loco clan, and Le_Charge.
It was an enormous task on the admin team. I think I kicked somewhere around 200 people from the server. I guess I made ~20 errors, and it was not fair for the kids who are new to the game, who got kicked without knowing what mumble is.
But our plan was to make server playable for those players who are more teamwork oriented. I hope you guys can forgive us for the mistakes we did, after all, those of you who were really looking for a good massive teamwork battle - found it on 128 server. Check out these videos:

I have played on here when PWed that was fine, but when not Pw'ed it draws in so many newer players and many greifers.
But as it is here for testing I imagine the object is for it to be full as much as possible rather than supply a top gaming experience atm.
Would it be possible to have a PW night once or twice a week?
I also had the enemy hearing my VOIP.
Barracuda I was Chinese sq 4 SL in Missile he was squad 7 US on the other side of the island.

There was some issues after changed ingame voip service to run in a different process.
When game server crashed, voip server went out of sync.
This problem is fixed now as voip server will get also reset if bf2 server will crash.

Isnt it just good that these newbies play on this TEST server and get familiar with mumble than in real server?

I just want to say this while i still remember...
I played on the server for a few hours on the weekend and Its total anarchy. because of the kits being all messed up people have desended into vanilla style gameplay. some squad leaders DO get squads to function well but then they end up raging because people arnt forced to listen.
Example: A guy can get a sniper kit and hitch-hike in your squad but the squad leader doesnt have an excuse to kick said person from the squad becasue he knows that anyone in the squad can use whatever kit they want.
it doesnt work. fix it.

I think having SLs and COs only be able to request kits?

If you got simple tip how to fix it, sure im listening but lets not forget what is main purpose of server. It is to get data of +65 player server stability and test new patches.
Ofc it works like magnet when there is more than 64 players, you can see it from mumble. There is a lot of spammers and admins cant do nothing about em except ban/kick from bf2 server and hope that they learn something.
But yes, I have noticed these newbie vanilla-style players also, but I really believe that they are mostly new in PR scene and need to learn how it works. Squad Leaders have here important job to teach em or ask to go read some forums.
Anyway Squad Leaders can report any player who is not following orders and they will get warned first and if its not working then kicked/banned.
There is a lot of more work for admins on big servers especially when it works like newbie magnet

Where I understand it's for testing, could we have just one night a week PWed...just one... pretty please.
I've noticed it needs four admins on a full time basis to stop all the tom foolery!
As per sorting it out abit better.
Decent SL's that can use the 2.5 minutes to get a reasonable squad togther as long as the whole squad's got active comms thats already a huge success.
