Why are players joining Team Europe when there are already teams in place for their respective countries?
I thought Team Europe was established for those players whose countries are not represented?
It all just seems very hypocritical to me.
Is Team Europe just an excuse for players looking to play with their friends? If so, then why was my sign-up thread deleted?
I'll try and dig it up again... Ah, here it is:
Not trying to be a downer, I just hope someone gets my point...
Abso-fucking-lutely!
It's not "Team Europe" it's "Team L4gi"!
The team was organised by L4gi months before signups opened, which is highly unfair and elitist.
Savage you're so right it's unbelievable.

guys PRT has enough politics etc...you cant really fault people for wanting to play with their friends. If a particular group/clan dominates a team it really doesnt matter, you're on the same team with them...who cares what clan they are in. If people are being dicks in the WC, then pass on your grievances on to an official or your CO/XO...if you don't feel the matter has been resolved to your satisfaction you'll have to wait til next year to make your own team I guess.
Or preferably you can just play together like gentlemen.

If you want a tournament like this you shouldnt promote it as "world cup". Call it pr clan tournament or w/e.
But anyway, thanks for organizing, I hope we will experience some great matches like last year

@ Rudd
The problem is when a team that should be used for those who don't have their own team is organised months in advance, with only those who are "in" the crowd get a place.
Meaning people who want to sign up because they don't have their own team can't. It's deeply unfair and shouldn't be allowed. It's good that I've heard some reassurance that this won't be allowed next year

In my knowledge and opinion it has nothing to do with letting people without their country into WC, it's more like sport club playing in World Cup with already filled players before even sign-up started. That's why I don't play or want to have anything with this World Cup - I fail to see any sportmanship, fun and respect for others in this kind of tactics.
I tried to make a point about it when World Cup started but was largely ignored. Thanks god that at least you noticed it as I find it corrupted and not transparent enough.
I mentioned it here:

Kain. I would never believe that i would agree on the same thing with you on earth.
But you're right.
You're just definitely right.
I still cant believe it. But you're absolutely right in that post. It just tells the whole story around here.
I'm not really dying for WC but i just checkhed in with Team EU and saw its full. Confirmed By Lagi himself.
However, Team EU doesnt really reflect a team that consists of "coalition of Minor Faction players". No offense but it rather reflects the very own pragmatic idea of C8/C9 CATA with this "Dream Team" project.
Note : I'm not starting a flame war here, and if some ppl does it automatically, thats really their problem. I just wanted to support the idea of Kain's to show not only him but some other people are also thinking same way.

I just realized, there was 4 teams in the PRT, and now in the WC there is 14 so thats like 10 times the amount of edrama.

feel 'sick'...bit much really?
but yeah, if it turns out badly it'll get fixed for next year I'm sure.
But entering the WC with a mindset already reeling with paranoia, resentment and a feeling of impending doom isn't good either.
When Team GB wipes the floor with the EU all your doubts will prove unfounded
Huzzah!

I said that in reference to Friedrich the great also known as old Fritz, a great strategist
of the 18 century.
Because for me the world cup is about strategy, organization and getting away from
public gameplay.

I'm not worried about if they're going to win or not. I'm annoyed about the way it's been done by L4gi, I know I shouldn't even care because I've got my own team. But I'm trying to help and stick up for those that won't be able to take part in the tournament now because of L4gi and so called "Team Europe".
