As you can see in this vid, the Iveco's roof is basically flat and solid:
The MB, however:
Note the roof grid, as well as the rear antenna mounts, as visible in the MG3 pic posted.
Now, the question that comes up is: how much of a nerd is [R-MOD]KP for knowing the ins and outs of the MB roof grid and antenna mounts?

Too much time in the MB?

Come to think of it, I have been known to spend some time crawling around on and in them to try and rig up the platoon commander's comms. In addition to the normal use of them, obviously.

There are only a few hardtops, and most of them are armored or used by the airforce, there won't be a hardtop MB ingame for us. (unless if used as placeholder)

Not really. Was trained as patrol signaller, so I knew a thing or two about comms. Unlike most of the instructors. So I became one of the "chosen ones" who had to do some crawling and figuring out how to get the AN/PRC-77 hooked up to the vehicle comms rack, vehicle power supply, amplifier and whip antenna. Two of us (both with the same patrol signaller background), who became de facto staff members on bigger excercises. Just to keep the platoon comms up. Good times.
Back on topic: As far as I know, the armoured MBs aren't used much (or at all) in Afghanistan these days. It's mostly 290 Multis. Back home, normal units are generally using un-armoured MB 240GDs, with soft-tops.

The armored vehicles are pulled out of service (Given to the Latvians, if I recall correctly, in Afghanistan) , even the VIP/escort service is retiring their MB290s. the guy I talked to about it said they might be getting IVECOs, even for VIP transport duty in Oslo.

So that's where they went! I knew we'd supplied some kit to the Latvians, but I'd no idea their armoured MBs weren't originally theirs.
For escort duty, I guess they could be supplementing with the Iveco. They're not exactly low-profile, compared to an MB, particularly the more civilian-looking versions. So for Oslo missions, they might choose to go more low-profile, but keep the Iveco for higher-risk stuff?

They have two sets of vehicles, one set low profile(Currently black) and one set of camo coulored ones.
He current MBs are not excactly low profile imo, they are just black. I don't think an IVECO painted black would be so much different.

They are a bit bigger, though, and - IMO - scream "military" more than the MB. But, of course, your average civilian might see things differently.
Mind you, I have no contacts in that area of the Forces, and they probably know much better than me what works and not.

Will this vehicle be able to deploy smoke? I might be wrong on this one but that is smoke launchers along the top of the windshield yes?

The other thing is that the MBs has such a distinctive sound you can easily hear it by the screaming sound.

Or a texture for a vehicle that isn't even in use by Sweden? Just ignore him.
