One of the things I have noticed is that the new patch seems much more stable than the previous. Our server has been running for a week without a crash whereas before it would crash at least once a day. Thank You! Great Work!

I haven't played in about 2 years until earlier this week. Have to say I've been struggling to enjoy it although I think that's more down to the games.

Trying to find games that have squads playing as a team does seem a lot harder than I remember. That and playing as insurgent on some of the massive mountain maps ain't much fun.

OK Gentlemen, I found the "patch" for the "BF 1.5 not installed" problem, thx to all and especially to AncientMan & PLODDITHANLEY.
But I must say that it was not easy to find on your forums.

If you say that medic kit would be less desirable or even rare, then collaborator kits would just extinct. Just think that you can't heal a scratch and will bleed out without martyr counted each time you get shot (self-heal attempts are still counted as offensive action). So only way to survive is exchanging your kit with squad buddies which takes tons of time and keeps you inside ROE.
Also, first time I tried to heal myself, it took 3 minutes until some guy stabbed me. PR manual really did it to me.

Not sure this is the place to ask... Couldn't tell if it is a bug to post on the bugs forums...

I just CAN'T install 0.96. I'm 100% positive that I DO have 0.957 installed (and yes, I just opened the game to check again) but the 0.957 to 0.96 installer won't let me install the update. It says I need 0.957 and forwards me to the download page.

Yes I am pointing the installer to the right BF2 root folder. No, I'm not really leaning to the "download the full 0.96" option.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something terribly wrong?

Any suggestions?

See if there's a window hiding behind the install window. It might be waiting for a confirmation on something.

Thanks, had a few issues with other stuff once I turned off the update (didnt get to see your comment) but I restarted it and disabled the pb update and it shot though no problems.

I dunno, not having as much fun playing 0.96 as I was on 0.95... can't put my finger on it, but 0.95 felt more exciting.
