Going to be moving the server to Montreal in the next few days and upgrading with full DDoS protection and a more stable linux operating system. In the mean time we'll be taking down the Windows server in Tampa.

just an update for everyone asking, I'm just waiting for our new server provider to finish setting up the linux box. I was at PAX this last week so I've been hella busy, going to focus on getting the server set up now. Hopefully will be up in the next week or so. We already have about five other servers up for other games, so no worries... FCV is definitely on the way.

Tested the new VPS server yesterday. Ran 4 hours with 30+ players and two map changes with no crashes before we shut down, and 24 hours idling with no crashes before shut down. Looks like its working well, so now we're just waiting for PiePie to enable our mumble master server connection and Free Candy Van will be back up.

My ping to this server will be very nice if moved to Montreal. I am grateful to be given an alternative to the LA server that seems to be populated, nothing against the guys providing the server just that host is pretty had (worse pings to LA than to EU servers).

It will be a breath of fresh air for everyone excluding those Oceanic players, the sad thing is providing them with a server to play on will alienate the EU playerbase of said server. It's really a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation as far as providing a good place for everyone around the globe to play together. But that is the beauty of PR, people from all over the world can come together and enjoy teamwork for a few hours regardless of any RL politics.

Actually this time around we'll be hosting in Chicago, our Montreal host died... which was really frustrating. We have a new host now however, and Hopefully Chicago is still about the same distance from you as Montreal.

Hey I heard you like switching hosts alot.. How about that..

I like the look of the rules, I'm also happy to see a rule listing flags with a vehicle depot as a no go. Some personal opinions on a couple rules.

Creation of squads before the pre-round timer reaches 2:00 is forbidden.

Its listed as a temp ban/ bannable offense which seems a bit crazy.

I also feel like a rule for asset wasting would be nice, ie intentional as trolling or some idiot tanking a support truck by himself to get back with his squad and leaving it out in the field.

Uhhhh yeah, I'll have to talk to Surface. I have a feeling he'd have no problem implementing stuff like that, he's pretty open to suggestions.

Early Squads are a major reason for squadbugs to occur so I think it's legit.
Usually with "Auto-Resign" script used, it prevents people from making squads though and a temp ban/ban is not needed anymore.

I really like the use of pictures and colors in the rules. Makes it a lot more easy to comprehend. Other servers should follow.

Just took a look out of curiosity, that is indeed a splendid ruleset. Both in how every rule is visualized but also a proper good set of rules

I'd be excited if this was a west-coast server, however i highly doubt it will be. Even midwest would be reasonable. Eastcoast is just too high for japanese/oceanic/indonesian players to play reasonably.

Its in Chicago. So yes its going to be Midwest.
