Well actually they all got the same sounds all civi cars. It has been like this in default PR aswell as in 0.4 of SM.lucky.BOY wrote:Civi Jeep. I dont know, it doesnt seem real to me. i just dont think it would sound like that if you drive in a car like this on such a terrain.
Haha, no.saXoni wrote:Extremely glad to hear it wasn't a serious project!
Screw the haters. I think the new voices are awesome and it doesn't sound THAT swedish. I like the idea that you are having fun with it. In fact, I think the normal US voices sound TOO American, specifically white American, and therefore unrealistic, and definitely does not reflect the ethnic diversity, YOUTH and different personalities that is the modern Army and Marine Corp, meaning street slang, vulgar language and pop culture references are good to go. Also, the formality makes it boring.-=anders=- wrote:Haha, no.The voices was pure fun. Although I'm still very annoyed that people can't come up and try to act themself and buy some decent microphone. Mostly thinking of arab and uk actors since atleast there should be tons of UK players here.
Hahhaa, you're too funny.CanuckCommander wrote:
I personally would not mind any of the above, even though some might be silly. The way I see it, the lines don't have to be serious all the time, as long as it gets the message across, so I don't really care how it is said.
-=anders=- wrote:Hahhaa, you're too funny.Really like the ideas! But I rather have a real (youngster or better a present marine) american to do this. There must be someone with acting talents and a good microphone.
I did my best screaming like hell trying get the feel that Im in the middle of a battle. Sitting in my car, because there is the best isolated place to erase echoes.
My mic for voices is a Zoom H4N for ~370$. Really great for recording voices with a deadcat protection to erase spits and breathing distortion.
Im recording all my sounds in either stereo or mono in 24-bit, 96KHz.
Buy this americans and do it better!
definitely need this. devs you can't say no.CanuckCommander wrote:Shoot me again, I DARE YOU!

Haha yea. The problem with the current rendition of the US voices is that it sounds like the default BF2 ones, meaning there's a lot of yelling. I think we would benefit from some yelling, some quiet, some humorous, some stupid ones, etc. Not everything has to be a battle cry, some could be dialogue, some could be a speech, some could be banter, and some could be talking to self. Here are some samples I found:sweedensniiperr wrote:definitely need this. devs you can't say no.
Hahaha, I remember that guy now. Stupid idiot.CanuckCommander wrote: Not every soldier is brave (Captain America from Gen Kill).
