While they shouldn't have set up within the DOD like that, they did not kill anything, nor does it excuse engaging them. Our rules does not allow shooting in or out of DOD at all.

In normal cases we either give players a !tb or a weeks ban for violations of our DOD rules. The banning admin did mistakenly ban you as the driver instead of the gunner, and for that we apologize.
The admin is one of our trial admins, things are still somewhat new to him, and mistakes can happen. He has been talked to about this event and apologizes.

Remove 'firing out of DoD' rules, they don't make sense. The DoD is intended to disallow one team from being in a certain area, not to stop incoming or outgoing projectiles.

Kinda hard to make a rule about being inside of your main.

I am at least are somewhat open to changing our DOD rules, but the issue is, where does the line go? Can I shoot at something right outside the gates of the main? How far out can I kill something?

The DOD is an easy line to define main as, though we do have some issues on a few maps.
What would we replace it with?

I think some server's previously defined it as, if they're inside DoD you can't shoot at them but if they shoot at you inside it they're good to go.

And regard the line: A map like khami it's easy to take multiple routes of ouf main meaning it's hard to camp and predict where the next target might appear. However on maps like fool's road it's way easier. I haven't acutally looked at your rules in a while and i won't for this post but it was something in the past (don't camp main exits) on some servers (PRTA even? idk)

A quick look at the tracker shows that dave and carti fired at the city from there (edge of DOD, hard to determine ingame) They even came back with a BTR later to the same location and fired at a BH... Who cares if you get killed inside the DOD if you are engaging enemies, at least don't cry like someone stole your icecream and get other people banned for it... Interesting that they clearly know it is DOD when they get killed there, yet it doesn't stop them from firing out of it... just my 1 eurocent

I don't see a problem with defining mainbases by the DOD line, but it should be allowed to fire back.

On one hand, if someone is blatantly sitting at the very edge of DoD and firing and killing at opposing players within that DoD, there should be admin action taken.

On the other hand, if someone is firing out of DoD, they should be 100% legal to engage, they waived the right to exit DoD safely when they decided to engage from there.

I think the phrasing should be redefined, something like 'do not fire at DoD unless fired upon'.

This will happen on all maps where you have the last flag close to DoD.

Either change flag design or make an invisible shield that stops bullets going in or out of DoD

Unfortunately, people aren't born knowing all admin commands in PR. But yeah, we will work on them

Plus some admins that show up are seeders and they don't have the ban command. The new admins don't have the powers to ban.

I get that. Thats why I say one admin whit ban command would be nice to have. From what I saw, those new guys were good fore beginners.
