I was kicked of your server just because I wrote down in chat : I guess i'm going to change server after this round, and it was the only thing I said during the round, I got no warning, and got kicked. You guys shouldn't say that your : '' We believe in a fair play for all, and do our best to keep the server this way.
'' if your going to kick people left and right for no reason.

The way you and your clan behaved was inappropriate during a large part of the round. We just finished banning one of your members for racist language and then you decided that it would be smart to write that.

It seems that you don't realize that we put a lot of time into this. Trying to lure people into leaving or trying to 'blackmail' the admins into changing the map simply because you don't like it, is some pretty low behaviour.

So, to sum it up: we don't "kick people left and right for no reason". We had plenty of reason and your attitude shows that we simply do no want players of your kind on our server. Enough said.

The issue here is that the admin asked for players what maps they wanted, and nobody ever said either asad or mestia and you decided to put them there anyway so everybody would go for fools. Some people on voice comms said well, we'll leave then... Kicking a player for what he typed down is unfair considering he did not cause any trouble, you tagged him as a troublemaker because someone from his clan said the ohgodalmightyNbomb. Period.

Is there a BR available of the Archer round that just ended?

For the past few months I have been playing on this server, and in that time I and my coworkers have been subject to abuse by admins, players, and friends of the admins.

This is all that happened to me;


First Straw
My ordeal began almost 8 months ago. When I first played here. I was in a fob builder squad with my friend, we were not using any heavy assets or requestable kits. Just us two building fobs around the map where the commander requested them. Some admin with a =hog= tag was bitching at us because we built a fob too close to a flag and told us to destroy it. Commander was arguing with him over the com channel, and I being the Sqaud Leader heard everything. Next thing I know commander is banned and then me for a week for 'backtalking to admin.' Fine whatever.


Second Straw
This was on Fallujah, I was driving the techie back to main because my gunner was killed. Some chap over local was bitching at me for wasting assets and the admin butted in. I didn't have a mic and was typing my answer, then boom banned again for a week.


Third Straw
I'm in an 8-man INF squad with my coworkers and an admin who was leading the squad. He did not know wtf he was doing and so I left made my own INF squad with my my coworkers. We were assaulting a cache on basrah and we almost had it until the rover driven by my former SL roadkilled & teamkilled us, we all punished. All four of us Banned for Accidental TK punish.


Fourth Straw
I was in Squad 2 which was a Recon squad. Me and SL are Sniper/Spotter. Some kid made a Sniper squad which was squad 8. He was typing over chat to dissolve our squad and join his. SL tells him tough shit we were here first. Then he joined our squad and was drawing attention to us trying to get us killed by enemy. He began telling my SL to give him the sniper kit. He says he knows the admin. SL still refuses and the kid tk's the SL, so I tk him. Kid bitched on global that we forced tk him and stole his sniper kit. SL was banned. I alt+f4'ed the fuck outta PR.


Fifth Straw
Some ******* with a PRWARS tag was harassing my friend who I play PR regularly with. He was camping on the basrah hotel roof with the LMG firing into main. The insurgent team was complaining over global so I gave them his name. He called me a motherfucker and tk'ed me. Then I was teamswapped to INS. I decided to get back at the fucker. I told my friend over xfire that I'm coming up the hotel don't shoot. He distracted the ******* and I killed him with 10 stones to the face, my friend was medic and he was laughing over ventrilo because the PRWARS ****** was begging for a revive. Then I took his AR kit stood over his body and mag dumped it in the into him. He tried getting back up the ladder but I kept knifing him. He called my friend out and my friend said we declared peace, then suddenly me and my friend are banned.


I like to play PR and me and my coworkers play at work during lunchhour with each other. Playing on the =hog= servers has been very unpleasant I do wish to play again due to the low ping I get(40-50). But if things remain this way I don't think I will.

Before I start, let me just make this bold and large so other people see it. It is the #1 thing that frustrates admins. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, TALK TO US IN GAME. Not over global chat, not using report, not months later, ask to talk to an admin on mumble or on the HOG teamspeak. We will ALWAYS take time to talk to people. This isn't targeted directly at you, but probably could have saved you some headache and some misuderstanding from the admins.

This is frustrating for both sides of this argument. I can see your point, but I also know how frustrating it is when a flag is right on top of an objective. As a long time player, its frustrating because as soon as the opposing force is on the objective, the fob that is directly on it is completely useless. In fact, when I see this as the opposing force, I will not destroy the fob because it actually helps my team. We know that there is not another fob for at least 200m and that anyone coming to help defend the objective from the other team has a very long walk to get here. The admin was (probably) wrong for banning you, but I wasn't there for the ban, so I dont know what you said to disrupt gameplay. For all I know, you could have been beligerant and rude in all chat instead of taking the correct avenues for complaints. I don't imainge you were extremely mad when you post this, but you come off as VERY stand off-ish. You have called me and my clan an "*******", "*******", and "******" and this is the first time I have talked to you. If you called anyone any of the above in the HOG server, I would ban you for a week too.

This doesn't sound right. 1st none of the admins ban for wasting assets. Are you sure this is all you did? I'll link this on the HOG forum and have the person issuing the ban give his point of view.

Again, I don't think this was worth a week ban for. I will have someone look up your ban history and see what the reason was. For the record, when punishing for TKs was available, it was a server rule to not punish for accidental TKs. If the TK was an accident, I could see a warning, but I don't think we have the full story. Again, I'll have someone look at your server ban history and see if we can clear some things up.

NEVER intentionally tk. It is 100% not allowed on the HOG server for ANY reason. If this was happening, an admin could have resoloved it easily using the report feature "!r (insert name here) is disrupting gameplay. I am trying to run recon and this guy is drawing unneeded attention to us". The admin will warn the kid and if he continues, the admin will take further measures. You were 100% wrong here to TK him.

There are 5 admins that I know of in prwars. Me, Lung, Louie, Mert, and DY. None of us would do this. Not a single member of prwars will EVER "camp and fire into main", not a single member would intentionally tk you, and not a single prwars admin would ban for what you did. Period. Your post really feels like you are leaving out key things in your bans. I mentioned this a few times, but my next reply will be the real reasons and stories behind your ban history (assuming its available. I'll talk to the head admins tonight). On a side note, you calling us names isn't going to help your case either. Unless you can provide a name or a BR file, this is just slander and childish.

well, we would like names. your post contains none. i dont know that its even possible to issue a ban for a week anymore. if its possible, news to me. the only way i would know how to do that would be to perma ban someone and then come back in a week and remove that ban. We would not do this very much, too much to keep up with, besides, why ban them for a week if you plan on letting them come back, just temp ban them or leave them banned forever, i dont get it.

controlling all the admins and all the players all the time is virtually impossible, this is why we need names, times and hope that your issues with these people are in chat so we can all read whats going on. with the advent of mumble these issues are often done over mumble and again, no way to recover that i know of.

you spent alot of time on your post that i think were in hopes of getting things changed for the better. we try our best to watch all traffic in games but we cant see or hear it all and we arent on 24/7.

being banned for accidental tk punish is not true, as there are zero bans in our ban list for that. i have never even seen a ban for that since ive been with hog.

again, the strangest part of ALL of your post is the detail of ALL these incidents but you know zero names of those involved.

if you could tell me what it is you would like us to do about this please let me know and i will pass it to the senior admins but without names nor any proof there isnt much anyone could do. we need SOME shred of proof to even begin to look at this, i hope you understand that we do want a fair place to play and we dont want our admins nor guest admins to act in the way you have stated.

i would, if these things happen again, use the chat system so their is a log of the confrontation, then we can decide what to do from there.

K. Obpmgmua has replied to other threads and I KNOW he has seen this one. I'm getting the feeling he's not going to reply. None of the things in his post make any sense and none of it sounds true after discussing bans in general on the HOG website. I also get the strong feeling that he is just a troll making things up to try and make the HOG server look bad.

I'll wait for obpmgmua to prove me wrong.

The techie incident perplexes me too, as far as I can recall it was on fire after taking dozen shots from an APC, I was rushing back to base to get it fixed. Some chap over local accused me of taking the techie for a joyride with an APC right outside main trying to get it killed.

My squadmate did call the driver a moron for running us over. Especially since we were so close. That doesn't justify banning an entire squad.

Hows this for ego. I'm calling you a liar. Everything you have said is 100% bullshit to me until you provide a name and we can see the server logs and why you were really banned.

The Project Reality forums are not to be used as a platform for users to rant/debate being kicked or banned from game servers.

If you are banned for not following a servers rules or server administrators orders and would like to protest or express your feelings on the matter, do so on the corresponding clans/squads website, not here.

Just so everyone is clear, these rules are in force for both players and server admins. Admins, your only response should be a link to your website and a message to take it there. Anything beyond that will be subject to the same rules as players.

Our current system is this:
1) Warning
2) Infraction
3) Perma-ban

Failure to heed these rules will result in your removal from the forum.

obpmgmua: you clearly took quite some time to write your detailed post in this thread, we appreciate feedback in any form and we'd encourage every player to post it for every server they play on, without a doubt.
However, without a name or any events in the logs, I'm not sure what you want us to do with this? We can't correct the behaviour of the admins responsible if we don't know who they are.

There are two options:

1. You provide us with a name and time (through PM or in this thread, whatever you feel comfortable with) of when these incidents happened and we can try and work with that feedback

or

2. You don't provide us with any more info to back this up through the logs, which means we can't work with anything you gave us and it means you have essentially wasted your time writing your detailed feedback. This also implies that your account is not entirely factual but mostly an emotional write-up of a bad day or something along those lines.


Either way works for us, let us know!

Usually good server, but lately I have experienced an lack of responses from admins.

Today I join on Fallujah. When I join we have 9 sqds, around 7 ppl unassigned and at the same time we have a bradley, LAV and AAV sqd, with 2 ppl in each.

I ask if they cant all join one, and the only response I get from dy21, who as I see is admin, is that they can join his. Hence the problem, everyone does not want to give up "their" sqd and want the others to join theirs.

Could you not, as admin set an example and join theirs, or as admin, make them join yours. Doing nothing is not helpful. Several other admins online, but sadly no response.

There was around 2 other full inf sqds that where working as a team, the rest was either full sniper sqd or more or less a "free kits" sqds with the sqd members spread all over the map with little cohesion.
