well some smart person decided to seed NEW for whatever reason. since most admins are just inactive players anyway i dont understand that, but it totally fucks up the merk seeding -.-

So you made a thread complaining that no one joining your server, then we people join we get terrible rubberbanding, I mean I have faith in you, but loyalty back? Six days ago we all complained about rubberbanding and it's still present. And at one point tonight we had 0 admins online(don't know with prism).

You had 0 admins for 5 mins while I was loading the game after Smek and Kasper left.... I know I was in TS at the time.

Also the rubber banding is being sorted,we still have scripts running preventing the hacker we all know about joining our server.
These are in hand but takes a little time to get right.

I'm sorry, it was just a frustrating evening for me(mostly not server related), bad pubs, me playing like shit and so on. I guess I needed to rant a bit. Your admins do pay attention and no one has to !r 5 times before anything happens, nothing at all like any other server.

The rubber band is still annoying though.

We are going to troubleshoot and try to solve the issue this weekend.

We have switched back from our nodejs proxy method to the older iptables method of preventing the malicious server crashes. Now we just have to test if the newer method was in fault or not because the older iptables method worked fine.

So seed the server and see if the lag is gone or not!

It looks like reverting to the old method has helped and we are no longer having lag issues.

PLEASE MeRks seed more.

I think, if I remember correctly, merk would seed but they dont want to without having an admin available the whole day.

This is not a case about single merk members seeding but rather a community effort. We have about 13 liteadmins and over 9 communities/clans in the seeding group. Its up to all of those communities as a whole to see if they seed or not. Obviously it is an easy scapegoat to blame it on merkies but in reality those who care the least about which server to join in the morning/afternoon/evening and seed first some random server with fallujah on matter the most. And that's also why some servers with bad reputation get seeded very often. If only 1 person decides to put in the effort of leaving his client on the server in the morning then it has a big effect.

Most merk members right now have a lot of real life issues to take care of and gaming comes second to pretty much everything. Right now there just isn't anyone who could lead the seeding effort available in merk to put in all the effort. I will stress this again that if you want a change then be the one to do it. Don't blame it on others. Encourage others to seed on the seeding group, make your client afk on the server in the morning, be active on feedback and figuring out new ways of having better results... those things actually help. But it's up to you.

This was a general message to everyone who care about our server, not directed at individuals.

Pretty poor show tonight on Goose Green.

7 locked clan only sq's (with one running people over on purpose with some only with 3-4 members) and 2 non English speaking. Yeah, people like to play with their own I understand that, but when you've got almost a dozen unassigned players who can't join a SQ, you wonder why people leave the server. At least open them up once you've got your mates in.

reported a intentional tker several times. merk admins know him and dont punish him, telling me im wrong. yeah sure he stands right next to me arguing with me then gets mad and shoots me in the head. clearly no intentional tk. gj merk admins. feels really good now that i seeded your server more than once, thank you.
im expecting this behavior from newer admins or fh admins but you peavyy?? get your shit together

yeah because an INTENTIONAL tk is basically nothing right? if you dont have to say anything usefull here, dont post.

2. If we make a decision like that it's because it's up to us to make the decision.

3. I have known Phlupple for about 7 years, so I trust his gameplay. I have never seen him TK on purpose unless somebody was asshatting.

4 Decision was made. Sorry it was not what you wanted, but it's our server and we have to make the decision. Also sorry if he was misbehaving and I read the situation wrongly, but we had to make a decision.
