Are you going to replace all sounds?

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to abuse you, but some sounds in your mode make me feel playing "Battlefield: Bad Company 2". You did a great work. But I used to original sounds of PR. That's just my opinion.

I hope so, AfterDune. I'm, just, trying to say that I don't want to hear COD "puh-puh-puh". I love PR very much. It was the first game, that seemed to me very realistic and where the command combat can change the going of the battle.

Current PR sounds are very "puh-puh-puh" comapred to what anders is doing im pretty sure. :D

Actually BF2 has meh, a majority of most, but a little, wrong really but because it is aimed at commercial and the inspiration of it is somewhat influenced by Dreamworks and their style of movies, of course they will sound just about like Savng Private Ryan, the M1 Garands are grossly wrong in regards to sound btw. I don't care about bashing on BF2 or 3 since I am not a real big fan of the games. Really, depends on the developers of PR. I really appreciate what James did in the beginning and that he took a lot of my ideas into consideration and used some of the stuff I created and didn't look down his nose at me sorta speak as i felt with some of the guys in PR now, with all due respect , sorry guys. But it seems "popular" wins over "what sounds real" is what it looks like. But I agree, it's all what everyone likes and it seems most favor the more Hollywood type, more exagerated and overly loud. I like what Anders is coming up with though. I really hope his ideas are used. But as I stated before to 2 of the sound guys, PR is based on as close to real right? the way distant sounds are in the game are "puk puk" sounding as they should be. But most of the 1P sounds are not "puk puk" sounding. They are not percussive at all, as what any firearm or explosion should be. Like I asked before,the sound of the mounted GPMG really needs to go.

We are choosing sounds very carefully with respect to mil advisors and people who shot these sounds in real life.
This won't end up in a "hollywood" game guys, don't worry.

1.0 won't "include" the soundmod per se but will feature a lot sound improvements. What this exactly means is to be answered soon.
You will see/hear. Just don't judge it without hearing it first :D

Yeah, I don't expect anything to be included, although I had much more results before. I wantd to stay as R-CON but I felt I was kinda looked down on because I am American, I wasn't given much a chance to stay. In respect to the mil advisors, I appreciate that fact as you stated but even then, from what I have read in some posts their opinion on what they have heard because they have experience in the field, unfortunetally they have been wrong on some accounts and I will take this to my grave. I don't say this on part of "pride" or arrogance but really, I feel just because someone who says "such and such is this way because "I am in the military or shot this rifle" or what not isn't going to always be correct. But I also speak for myself because I won't always be right, but tis better to give an example of what I one hears as I did on the video. Like I said before, and Anders knows this as well, just cause it's on youtube doesn't mean that's how it sounds in real life. Like for instance, the M16 and or AK47 in BF3 for example, those are not what you would hear in real life, even standing 10 to 15 feet behind the firing line. Maybe with ear plugs. But carry on gentlemen :razz:

Im NOT gonna turn this into a Hollywood style shooter. I promise. Media will come. I know what realism people want out there. I have more soundreferences of the real shootsounds than noone had for PR before. I have the most popular soundarchives existing. I wanted the best base for BF :P R to start from. And right before SM 0.5 got released until now, Ive spent over 1500$ on just soundarchives of diffent sounds to make the best and realistic sounds for 1.0.
No Im not bragging. There's no need. It's just good will for the mod to stay as fresh as possible. And for the last part, Im loving what im doing as a hobby. Soundeffects has always been an interest to me.
Dont worry guys! I know what I'm doing. Same as Jaymz and the other guys did.

Well Anders, I hope the dev team listens and considers what you have to offer. Noteriety rests on a lot of people shoulders these days. Wow anders, that's a lot of money. The only sound effects library I know that costs close to that is Dynamic Range.Just remmeber, a lot of those sound effect CDs are very processed and are aimed to meet commercial and entertainment standards. But I have faith you will make it right man. I have since stopped playing PR just cause the sound has not immersed me. If anything I would like to hear the 3rd person sound changed on almost everyone of those weapons. I might just make an example using BF2/PR to show everyone what I am talking about, since talk is cheap. Am I the only American here? lol

Yeah I know what you mean with those archives beeing for commercial use. But I often work from its base and mix alot of sounds together for the right result.

I can show you some links to some of the archives I own.

Everyone of these: ^^ I think this covers the most to get PR the best quality.

And yes, they listen to me when I listen to them. So thats how things should work I believe. :D
