Please re-read the rules for posting in server feedback - this is getting boring

Well I personally think your admin was shit. You shouldn't threaten to kick somebody for one accidental teamkill. Go ahead and ban me if you want. Just telling you how it is. I've been playing PR since like .95 and have never once been threatened to be kicked or now threatened to be banned from a server because of one accidental teamkill or preemptively because admins are telepathic.

Okay so I've looked into this, I've pulled up your information and found that you've had two profiles on our server:

After looking this over, it looks like you teamkilled a player. That player reported you, and one of our admins performed a standard teamkill warn "!w liquidz tk"

This standard warn string automatically launches the auto-message "***WARNING*** Watch your fire and avoid teamkilling! Further teamkilling will result in temp ban from FCV"

This report is a standard response to all reported teamkills, and if the teamkill was indeed accidental then you were never at risk of a kick or temp ban. Our admin probably didn't give this more than 2 seconds of thought, and at that point in time had no interest in kicking you.

However, after the report you started generally insulting players on our server, and abusing our admin report command to report the person you teamkilled calling them a faggot. Then you came onto this thread and threatened to grief the server in response.

In regards to the latter... I have no sympathy for your report, and if you continue with this behavior you will be permanently banned from the server. We have no tolerance for threats or general disrespect to our players.

Have to agree with Bluedrake, its standard procedure. Every server that cares, if everything is in check would warn you straight away, because admins are doing their job.

R.I.P. I think it was bullshit. I'm glad I TK'd him. He deserved it for not warning me he was coming up the stairs when enemies were coming up. I guess I didn't see any guidelines for disagreeing with somebodies sexual orientation. Also, you should put it in the server info that you can receive warnings for temporary ban after a SINGLE accidental teamkill. I didn't threaten to grief your server I said I had thought about TKing my way to a ban because of poor administration and said that I had decided against it literally within the same sentence. This is not your website, if you didn't want to hear feedback you shouldn't have made a thread for it. At this point you don't really have to ban me. I probably won't be returning to Free Candy Van for a while if ever. If you're going to ban me for negative feedback on the server in the PR forums then you're no better than anybody that you complained about in the video you made about corrupt servers in PR.

At least you don't get insta-kicked for using all-chat or banned for assuming admins should give some kind of feedback.

Regarding FCV, my only complaint is the stability. Although it does not seems to crash anymore times than other servers it definitely chokes more often.

You complain because somebody reported you for teamkilling and foul language, yet you report them for their "sexual orientation".

There is not a single Admin in PR that would disagree with this, you will not have a different experience on other servers.

Yeah sorry, but no. Banning someone for giving negative feedback is one thing, banning someone for saying "I'm glad I TK'd him. He deserved it" and using our report command to call someone a faggot is another.

You can think of me however you want, but I know where my lines are drawn. When I made that video I wasn't fighting for a player's right to be a rude griefer.

Unfortunately because of the number of infractions one person has received, this has resulted in a temporary forum ban.

If you guys want these feedback threads, then you have to follow the rules provided. This includes server admins....

Today on FCV server there was very little teamwork, numerous people without mics or at-least not using them, and people constantly spamming mumble in between rounds. While other servers do experience this to a certain degree science the 1.3 update, fvc for some reason seems to have the least teamwork and most mic spam. Some guy named Colonel Sanders without a mic followed our squad shooting into the air and trying to steal out transports. The server has gotten slightly better over time but the situation is quite annoying. I would greatly appreciate it if something could be done to help expedite the fixing of the issue.

Okay so... lots of things to go over about this.

Firstly... and I REALLY didn't want to have to announce this publicly, but... here goes. Our ban list wiped itself the other day. This apparently is a server bug that happens from time to time... so this past week has seen a massive influx of hackers, spammers, teamkillers, and overall bad players returning to the server. It sucks... I know.

We're working on reinstating most of the bans that were wiped, but its a good chunk of work... and regardless the past few days on the server have been hell. We're working on a script that automatically backs up the ban list every 24 hours... so next time this happens we'll have a backup to restore from. However, for right now... we're kindof in a bad spot.

Secondly... at the end of rounds, just turn your volume down. We definitely enforce no mic spam for briefings, squad radio, and in some instances local... but for the end of rounds, there's no reason for you to hear anyone anyways. We DID mute the lobby channel during loading screens, but outside of that... during the round overview, just turn your volume down. I don't feel we need to punish people for spamming during that period.

Thirdly... no mic players. We restrict players without mics from leading squads or manning critical assets, but outside of that no-mic players are allowed... and we kind of cater to that crowd. So please report unresponsive players manning critical assets, but outside of that... those players are allowed on the server.

Lastly... the asset stealers. I want to say that's probably because of our banlist being wiped. We had a really good playerbase before the ban wipe... but the past few days have seen a lot of that **** happening. So I apologize. Anyone breaking rules... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not hesitate to report them on our forums. Chances are... they were already banned, and just happen to be back on the server due to the server bug.

Had fun. But could you guys maybe throw in some more different maps in play? Or a different vote style rather than maps?

Like a AAS INS vote... then a vote like: 1: Woodland 2: Desert 3: Amphibious

1: Any map with land Based spawns... no amphibious spawns (such as carrier spawns. (Like Dragon Fly, Kozelsk, Fools Road, ect.)
2. Desert.. same as woodland except only desert environments. (Kashan, Black gold, Khami, Fallujah)
3. Amphibious... Any team with spawns on a carrier. (MUTTRAH, Saareema, Op Barracuda, Vasdo)

Yeah its a stupid idea but why not worth a shot. Instead of having all desert maps or whatever.
Like if INS won...
1: Iron ridge 2: Fallujah 3: What ever INS Amphibious Assault Map lol. Or just put random map in.

Update on the situation, we've created a script that backups our ban list every 6 hours. While we haven't been able to reinstate all bans that were lost, hopefully when this happens again we'll have a safeguard.

i got banned from freecandy van for one mistake that itook apc and was aloan on it. ididnt know it was wrong and they ban me right away i just want to say that its not fair that baning people is so easy and every one just can say he stole apc and ban right away at least u could kick me for hour or two not kick me for good, i like this server and its my favorit server and i dont want to go to HOG server or petaeu or something else
so for the end

File a ban appeal on our website, appeals are not handled here

August 2nd backup of our ban list has been restored and initialized. If you have had an appeal accepted in the past week for a ban please post on our website and we'll have you removed. Hopefully the ban list restoration should help with player experience on our server compared to the last few days <3
