Just do something. This is a horrible example of what a server should not be. To be honest, I've never had a round of PR worth playing on TB. I know it's mostly my own fault, but it still tells something. But the worst thing is that 64 players is pretty much the number of players playing the entire mod in Europe (64 would make 3 20p servers) and that's why they are forced to play on TB because for some very odd reason it's populated for the most of the time.
TB is the worst thing that has happened to PR so far. People try out this mod and find one populated server with absolutely zero teamplay. I can't tell the difference between vanilla and PR here. I've almost quit playing because most of the time only TB is populated.
And remove Jalalabad. It's just the worst map in PR and no armor is just worse. US has about ten .50 cal platforms. Without tanks they are moving camping fortresses without enemies. And both Karkand's. There are better maps available, why run those?
Thank you. But please, do something! We're losing players all the time.

I've had some good & bad games on TB. I think that servers shouldn't be bigger than for around 50 players. And i totaly agree that Jalalalabad should be removed. Map is better with 2 armors than with 20 jeeps & spawntime for jeeps should be much bigger

My opinion:
A 64 player server is to much like a vBF2 server. Everybody runs around getting killed. No teamwork what so ever.
My suggestion:
Lower the slotsize to 40-50 and then run the 64 player maps. Than you'll see that teamwork will come.

i´m not a fan of 64 player servers, 44 is about right imho, but i do like jalalabad

Please tell which Map you like in rotation, but sry no Mao and Ej D. We see many guys leve the sever by this maps. By Schaballabad

is for 50% okay, are not more (Hamve and Vodnic Laming).
I miss Kubra Dam and Wake Island

This is your problem i think, i open a squad german, and we have a nice teamwork.
If i will play for fun, little play and shuting then i no enter a squad, and i have fun, and this is not bad. Then PR is a Game not more.
@ Server
yes we can change to 50 are you will see not more changes, then max is 50 not more, and this only at 22.00 after we are by 40 not more.
I think the team swichtcher is the biggest problem. Better is by start blocking and after 30% Tickets blocking.

I like large scale battles
And I miss the tanks and apc's too. What we need is more vehicle-maps

Like Steel Thunder.
Teamplay on a big server depends in my opinion on the people who are playing there together(!) So the same problem occurs on smaller servers. But it's not that obvious there.
It's just the "inf-only" version which makes it a bit monotonously.

- remove "no vehicles"
- add maps (Jabal, Steel Thunder, El-Al, EJOD, Oman, Mao, maybe other)
- remove maps (doubled Muttrah)
- lower a bit number of votes needed to do something.

unfortunately, if you add maps to the server they are added to the rotation.
It would be nice to have some unusual even unbalanced maps on just to spark a bit of interest when you, on the spur of the moment, change to them and surprise everyone.

my opinion
and i think coldnovember rain (who is the best PR player there is in my opinion) has hit the nail on the head.
64 is too many there is no teamplay and gets laggy.
also resembles vanilla too much.

When server exceeds 40-48+ players it usually starts to get laggy. There's a significant drop in hit recognition and everything gets more difficult to hit overall. For some reason in huge maps like Jabal it is, or it doesn't feel s bad, but for example Sharqi is very bad because of lots of close range shooting where you see where you hit and what happens after that.
About maps:
I know Mao and night maps would be very nice to see in rotation, but it's true people leave because of those. But I'd say more people leave because of Jalalabad and Sharqi. I love and hate Mao just as much as one can do at the same time, but still would like to see it.
Sharqi doesn't really work in PR, but it isn't that bad. Mainly spawncamping, because 90% of combat is done on spawnpoints and flags are really bad placed. But there's no real substitute ATM. Gulf of Oman maybe? If you'd mod those levels it'd be awesome. Let's say Hotel, River and Construction site (and the Garden?) in Oman would make awesome map.
FuShe Pass 16 is quite good, so is Oasis, Zatar Wetlands 16 (just increase tickets), Goods Station is one of the most tactical maps in PR, Jabal would be awesome with 64p and Steel Thunder 16. I can see how you select map cycle and most of these maps wouldn't fit there. But consider FuShe, Zatar and Goods Station. A night map, Operation Nightshift maybe without armor would be awesome.
Usually smaller maps (with less flags to lose) require more from team and that's a real problem. It's amazing that bigger the server gets the less people there seem to be defending the flag itself. Current map rotation is optimal for vBF style playing because there's no thinking required, which isn't a bad thing for balance.

Whatever maps you want to put on, please lower your server to 40/45. I think most people would be happy for that. 64 is just far too many, makes the server laggy, causes it to crash a lot and also makes it just like playing vanilla.

errr i just updated vBF to 1.41 as per eggs advice, and what do i find, thors pr server in red

(the only server with peeps on)

Apart from our server which is full...
We updated to 1.41 today no problem. You must have done something wrong as yours is still showing as 1.4 for me.

I suppose you don't become one of the top 3 servers without a bit of poaching! time of post = thors only server with peeps, now iGi is up and running in white cheers....
busy, not played half these maps & john sim does elephant again, join another squad........... incoming...............

Just found this thread.
I have to say, that i have played with TB players many times, and still do.
Now. I’ve seen u screen dumps, but! I must address that I never have seen anything just near too something looking like a cheat from any of the TB player’s I’ve team worked with. None! Period.
I would also like to point out, that most of the TB players I’ve played with are disciplined, teamwork oriented, tactical founded and calm gamers.
I would be very surprised if any of these accusations where to be waterproof. Very surprised.
