Just to let you guys know: Helicopter Wheels
Rhino;1913713']Important

Right guys I'm going to do a new poll on this straight after the Open Beta is over so make sure you get some time on trying some wheeled choppers this weekend, as well as giving them a fair chance to try and get the hang of them, to see what they are like and then you'll all need to recast your votes in the new poll, since this poll was made for the PR:F test, and hopefully more people have had a chance to fly in the OB with it.

Cheers!
So please everyone who can, give the chopper wheels a fair chance this weekend to see what they are like so you can vote properly in the new poll when its up :D
That was before sequestration and the other budget issues. It's still going to be years before the K even comes into service thanks to other things. It is nowhere near the same category as the Sea Knight.
Got any dates on when its expected to be retired then? But the main point I made above still stands:
'[R-DEV wrote:Rhino;1893439']And then its pretty low priority on our list since the USMC already has a Heavy Lift Transport/Utility Aircraft, be it as it may a Tiltrotor instead of a true Helicopter but still dose (/would do) the same basic job (ingame).

Instead what is a higher priority for us is something like the CH-53G (which is part of the Sea Stallion Family, not Super Stallion which is pretty different) for the German's Heavy Lift Chopper as just one example as that fills a gap for something we don't already have for that faction.
And if the Argument was for a smaller Heavy Lift Chopper for the USMC, the CH-53E is actually quite a bit larger than the MV-22:
MV:22 Length: 17.5 m
CH-53E Length: 30.2 m
MV-22 Width with rotors: 25.8 m
CH-53E Rotor diameter: 24 m

The CH-53K isn't expected to come into service (first unit equipped) until 2019 due to the budget cuts. Even after that, there are 10 squadrons of CH-53Es plus the training squadron that they would have to fill with Ks to completely retire them. Even when some of those squadrons are disbanded in the RIF, CH-53E isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

The argument wasn't for a smaller "heavy lift" (which the Osprey is not, even according to its manufacturers) helicopter for the faction, it's about the factually incorrect reasons given for the CH-53E not being there or why it's not worth it to make. It isn't retiring soon like the Sea Knight or Sea Stallion (already retired), we just didn't have the time or resources to make it when we've got about nine contemporary factions and three historical mini-mods and the Osprey.

That was just the argument some people made before with the CH-53D which would have been true for that, but knew you weren't making that argument was just stating that for anyone who might think that for the E.

So, when are we going to get an LCAC??? That would be SUPER legit.

Oh... and also... is there currently a key binding for "wheel lock"? It's uuber frustrating trying to stay still with the choppers on the ground, at the moment, and if there isn't, I was thinking maybe the shift key would be a good key for that. Really that's my only gripe with the new (or revived) wheel system on the choppers.

EA/DICE made it for BF2, but never included it with the game, not even for us modders to use :-(

There isn't any "parking brake" for the wheels or anything no, something we are going to try and look into but there is no known simple solution to code one in BF2 so if there is a way, will probably require quite a big hack :p

Is there a slim chance the error has corrected itself as randomly as the error appeared?
