Right, because they're the ones who can make a difference. Right now they tend to not care and group up, but if they consciously split themselves evenly between the teams (I'm not saying that a single clan has to do so, just don't AIC, PRwars, CIA, TG etc etc all join one team) then the games would be far more competitive and enjoyable for all.

PRspy doesn't show all 85 players, so there may be more of each on either side, but from what we can see, the two clans are not only playing with their clan buddies, but have jumped on the same side as the other clan.

Can you point out the 8+ cohesive players you can recognize on the other team that will balance that out?

They work well toegether. If a couple of Thema switch it does not necessarily mean they can make a difference working with the other team.

Whenever I play BF2 with a few buddies we can completely dominate the game. I have yet to get them to play PR, but if I join PR and we get a good squad that works together... it's the same; one good squad can dominate the game.

The clantags only suggest that they tend to work more together.

But yes, the 1-man locked squads really are a weak point in this game. All you need is 9 idiots.. and the other 20 can't do anything.

Anyway, since this is your train of thought:

I have 4 or 5 guys I like to play with now a days. When I'm online. I play with them.

We'll never see eye to eye, because unlike you, every squad I lead is with complete randoms, so perhaps you're now unfamiliar (or have forgotten) with what that's like, especially when playing against a stacked team.

You can't blame anyone for a flaw inherent in the system. Teamstacking is going to happen. It's been going on far longer than PR has been around. To suggest that it will "ruin" the game as the title of this thread suggests is farcical. The fact that this mod has survived nearly 10 years with Teamstacking very much present bears this out.

Not at all, I was saying nothing of the sort. I see a problem, you don't seem to, that's about the end of it? You and others are more than entitled to your opinions, and I don't think we should begrudge one-another for differences therein, but discussion of it is never a bad thing.

It's similar to the discussions about asset whoring, or the immediate assets on maps or about recon squads (2-3 men locked squads on a 50 person server) - is anyone particularly "wrong"? No, of course not.

If you're doing that on the team that isn't the one stacked with a bunch of other clanned players, I can do nothing but applaud you. You just unstacked the teams.

If your team wins the game in a short amount of time with little to no resistance, especially when combined with a hugely imbalanced KDR [particularly on AAS maps], then you're on the stacked team.

I was at that game, it was actually pretty even.

As I mentioned, a start-of-round PRSPY screenshot doesn't tell the whole story, and again, just because (a) clan(s) are on one team, doesn't guarantee a steamroll, but if it does happen, people should, in my opinion, look to rectify it at the start of the next round.

I hope my posts aren't coming off as abrasive, that's not the intention at all. I'm trying to write with a diplomatic tone, apologies if it seems unpleasant! I finished work late and am in the doghouse with my woman (because I can be a thoughtless *** sometimes) so perhaps life stress is creeping into my post-tone. Apologies if that's the case! ops:

But seriously, I know I made a really long post before but please take the time to read it. I really think teamstacking is not the main problem. It's simply become more of a problem these days purely because of the deterioration of the general level of gameplay, for various reasons.

As a result we need to employ a variety of countermeasures on the admin and (more importantly) the player side of the game.

As players we should all be more communicative in-game, and if we enter the losing team the first thing we should attempt to do is to motivate the players on that team to co-ordinate and communicate. I previously said that the main problem of teamstacking is the fact that clans tend to have better co-ordination and communication than pubbie players. But this doesn't mean we can't expect this from non-stacked teams. Quite the opposite really, this game is all about teamwork; it's sad to see the general level of it fall so greatly over the last couple of patches.

This is the problem we should all attempt to address as one community. We all need to become more proactive in game to instigate a mentality change and better style of gameplay in the playerbase. We can't simply expect admin teams to 'balance' the teams day in day out. We need a long term solution too.

This community is rapidly losing a laudable teamwork ethos that it once had. We all need to work together to solve this.

When the teams are stacked, it sucks, but when they aren't, it's cool.

The only way to prevent a "stacked team" is the honor code. If you're a skilled PR veteran and you see one team is woefully under-equipped, then playing on the potentially losing side is the classy thing to do. Most players know this.

However, a lot of times people just want to play with their friends or squeeze in a nice easy round of PR that results in winning with good teamwork. Why play on the other side when you know what you'll be dealing with? No coordination with no chance of winning?

It all comes down to the honor code.
