i like that you can roll land without grinding, but on the carrier it makes things very awkward.

would prefer it that if the engine was at Idle, it doesnt move at all, in fact im not sure why it has to move when sitting still.

PLEASE devs, put in a brake system. Also flying in and landing on the ground you keep rolling and rolling. killing people as they get out. if you press S to try and slow the rolling down, and by press S, I mean tap S, it causes the chopper to bury its nose into the ground and get more damaged. Some choppers roll around at like 60 kmh lol like the blackhawks. It really is just annoying and making everyone I've talked to not wanna fly choppers. I like to be able to taxi, even landing kinda fast and rolling is good, just needs brakes that will stop the chopper and not crash it in the process. If you are flying choppers now and waiting for a mission, you have to constantly correct the helicopter OR just get out and stand there. PLEASE CHANGE THIS ! ALSO I don't know if this is fixable, but even before the helis had moving wheels, choppers with skids also would move forward on their own. This was manageable cause normally it was slow, but still if you are on a chopper on the Essex and leave the heli alone, it will fall off into the ocean after a little bit. Can that be fixed too ? Thank you for an AWESOME MOD, best there is, this is just one thing that is driving me crazy because I fly trans A LOT.

Right guys I've reverted/removed this feature for the time being due to many players having serious issues with the no-input rolling mainly.

Hopefully at some point in the future we may find a solution to implementing a "parking brake" then pretty much everyone should be happy but as of yet we have found no (short-term) solution that would work.

Cheers.

No Pox... more like its a frustrating habit when you're trying to do something on the map, and worried about it driving off the carrier or into a wall.

It was a good change.

They don't have a main rotor pushing them down or pulling them up when you have no-input while on the ground. Although yes if you have a joystick throttle you can counter this affect with it pretty easily with a tiny tweak of your throttle to stop it from moving, most players don't fly with a joystick, let alone ones that have throttles too :(

How about a negative push force that drags it slightly to the middle of the helipad. Or have a new "weapon" that will do just enough push force to the chopper to cancel it out. Just some thoughts.

a "recoil weapon" may work but the biggest problem with this is first of all, it can be used in the air which would significantly influence handling and we would need to spend quite a bit of time fine tuning it with a lot of trial and error and then it wouldn't work in all situations etc :(

Cant belive the rolling wheels have been taken out!!!!

Gamers should not be using a keyboard and mouse to fly anyway! This is PROJECT REALITY!

Piss off you folks above, I can fly great with my mouse and keyboard. The wheels were too sensitive. Don't blame it on us. I am not going to buy a bloody joystick because something has been implemented that doesn't really work out. Never change a winning team aka .98 system. NEVER.

1. Reload crate
2. Find wall
3. Hands off from keyboard\mouse\joystick and wait for request.

But no, instead of learning how to fly and land with wheels we need to spam on forums "give us back good old times where we can dive on T-shape and stop in few meters".

this future did sound good but without any breaks it was awfull.

until they manage to find a way to have breaks on helis the old way is better in my opinion. I landed with blackhawks and I had to land 10-15 meters away from the drop zone to stop where they wanted to. that is just wrong. you should be able to land where you want to without having to land it like a mini jet.

The rolling on landing was a minor annoyance. Rolling on landing and nearly crashing the chopper was a medium annoyance. Trying to check the map while constantly rolling backwards was a severe annoyance. I'm glad it got taken out. People with joysticks can ***** about "noobish players" who fly with mouse and keyboard, but I've found I feel more comfortable flying a helo with a mouse, and it saves me a USB slot and space on my desk (which is limited as it is). Besides, were the wheels really saving you any time or helping you greatly? They had their use, but pilots have been landing just fine in PR for 8 years before they were implemented. You'll get over it.

I'm flying with keyboard+mouse too. No problems at all with wheels.

Maybe dev's could leave wheels for stable helicopters?(MV-22, Zhi-9seriers, Z-8, NH90)

So I just read the new update that wheels were removed. I just wanted to say that I never pilot helicopters. I have played PR off and on for more than 5 years.

The other day I decided to spend an hour testing out the helicopters with wheels.

I was able to use them just fine.

The only helos I couldn't pilot were Vietnam Hueys.

I think it's a shame we have all these helicopter pilots who cannot learn how to use wheels properly when it took me an hour to learn it. And I never pilot. I'm pure infantry.

That's an embarrassment.

P.S. I don't own a joystick.

Are you sure these votes aren't just mostly from when they first came out? A lot of times the first few days people automatically refuse new features until they get used to it. You guys probably need to do a revote if these votes are old. I'm in disbelief that people don't like wheels.

Well this is the second poll made at the end of the OB, with the first being much more in favour for it, 72% for, 11% against, 17% not caring but was made a few weeks after PR:F's release: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f254-v ... s-1-a.html

If there are enough posts calling for it to come back I could look into putting up anouther poll but its pretty clear that people who didn't like it, REALLY didn't like it for w/e reason and the ones who do like it are overall not that enthusiastic for keeping it either from what I've seen.

But ye, I think the only way we could make everyone happy and this a really useful feature is if we find a way of implementing a parking brake, which so far we don't.
