Re: PR Tournament?
That is dependent on what you perceive to be fun in the first place. Besides the fact that easy going and good teamwork are pretty much opposites... you will never achieve the best possible teamwork and coordination in an easy going tournament with a very simplistic structure.dutch wrote:And the fun factor will be the goal, easy going but with good teamwork
The years of experience organizing FH tournaments mean very little as you cannot compare the gameplay of FH with the one of PR. I see no distinction between this new tournament and a community organized event where the purpose is to be somewhat more organized than a normal public game while still being non-demanding.
For the few of us that actually search for a challenging, strict and demanding tournament, this is definitely not it.
Good luck either way... I'm sure the pubbies will have lots of fun. That is if they're not getting rapped every round by the usual suspects. But I guess some might not even mind.

Exactly, it is not organized for the few of you, it is for the base of players in PR. Thanks for the good luck but I am sure the structure will be different then you think and guess. And like I said earlier, some will like it, some will hate it, you can't please all can you?For the few of us

Nop, you can't... and that was one of the main mistakes that TART did. Trying to replace the PRT while at the same time keeping things more relaxed.dutch wrote: you can't please all can you?

That basically meant that two types of players joined TART thinking that they would get the tournament they were looking for... only one actually got it and i'm guessing that the same one might appreciate your tournament also, but the ones that truly enjoyed the PRT and never got to play as seriously and coordinated as in its battles, continue to hope to eventually be able to play in that manner again.
I also have very few hopes of the PRT returning but I do believe that it is possible to organize something in the same lines as long as you get the right players to join and organize it. Quite a lot of veterans have returned for 1.0 so hopefully those will stick around for longer.

Yeh...been playing in TART and it was a complete disaster. No fun at all winning all the time
Bring PRT back, and I might give it a go. In fact sign me up for Opfor if you do, and bring the effen mortars back to insurgents, or I wont have what to do...
