I don't want to remove it entirely, that way people will bunnyjump.

I want to minimize the penalty for jumping by atleast 50%. So that when you jump you do lose stamina but not a lot of it, just a little. That would be awesome.

Never had a problem with this.

Don't try to fix it if it's not broken.

What would be great to remove is the annoying delay between standing and jumping. Lost count how many times I've stood up after laying down and died because of a 20cm lip in the terrain/kerb in front of me prevented me from running away.

It does suck having to sprint from one place to another only to find that 1/4th of the way there you need to jump and are now out of stamina and become a sitting duck for enemies. I know people are going to say something like "surpress the enemy" or "work as a squad" which doesn't quite cover a wide variety of scenarios such as quickly flanking or when your squad gets flanked and is caught in a suicidal area to return fire (which happens to everyone no matter how good they are; especially in INS maps).

You can always jump, even if the stamina bar is empty. You just can't do the "sprint jump".

You can clear the obstacle but you can't continue running to cover which is the frustration.

I'm also curious, is the flailing after a jump for five to ten seconds something that is done on purpose? I really don't understand the reasoning. I jump on top of something or over something and instead of being able to continue moving or shoot, my character just wiggles in place for a while.

Knight you made me laugh then, I'd forgotten about that. Made me laugh so hard thinking of a soldier doing it in battle.

I think stamina penalty should be removed or heavily reduced.
Climbing over obstacles isn't possible in this mod so jumping could "simulate" climbing over it.
I find myself avoiding jumping in every situation in PR. And I hate it.

It is an animation to prevent bunny jumping!

Soldiers don't bunny-hop in a battle either but BF2 players do when it's for there advantage.

Again If it is reduced you only add to the bunny jumping mayhem. Unfortunately there is no other way to minimize it at the moment.

Is it possible to implement it in a way that your first jump doesn't remove any stamina, but any jump within ~5 seconds of that will?

You would find yourself avoiding jumping and climbing stuff in real life too ;)

Ya, you can't even jump over walls that high in PR. I believe that climbing in and out of those windows like the vid would make you tired. But in PR, you would be just as tired from jumping over a 6 inch curb.

Honestly, I think I would have to leave PR if the Devs added this.

It would be like PR: Parkour.

Bunny hopping would be constant...

So I do not support this.

Bunny Hopping wouldn't be constant if titsmcgee852's idea is used. :)
