its aint lazyness, they made the low polie iron sights for performance reasons. It takes skill to make a model look good, and have a low pollie, and its much easier to make a model with unlimmited pollies.

They did the 2D iron sights so that more systems could play the game.

This looks ace any idea on a date yet???

Another question: Are there going to be more then one zoomlevel for the sniper rifles?

Alas my computer was destroyed in either a flood or power surge, not sure as both happened at the same time....

Either way I'll hopefully have a machine in a few weeks when i scrap together enough cash! All i need now is broadband. All i can get here is shitty 256k down and 128k up, a far cry from my 2mb of old....

Anyone know if i'll lag to bad to play with only 128k?

lag isn't down to bandwidth... to some extent (I suspect) because my bandwidth just trippled but the ping remains the same (no Led Zeppelin reference... )

Ahh but did your upload change? As a slow upload will add lag (i think) as it takes longer for you to send your data back to the server....

You're telling me. Think about how much teamwork that would require? Makes it into a game of skill and teamwork, not just lots of lonewolves. That is why they changed it, the *bleep*ing lowest common denominator. That video got me SOOO hyped when this game was still in development, then they trashed so much of the stuff. Like the fact that ALL of those barrels went flying, not just the Red ones. God, I want to e-mail them and ask for a copy of that version. I would pay big bucks for it.

PS Rhino, that game looks like a VERY early Americas Army, the Hud is the same along with the game mechanics it seems. Love the game to death, but not enough variability. Not like Jihad cars in this game. To think that it was made up by the gamer, not by the Devs at Dice. Gotta love ingenuity of the common man.

By the way... is the M240 planned for future releases?

Aren't the ironsights in 2142 3D + have sway like in the video?

2142 is an awesome game when you think of it without all the future ****. Just imagine how cool it would be to get some of that stuff into BF2.
