This is a really stupid rule. If anything you should be allowed to fire back, but according to admins in game your are not

Generally a good rule, snce mainbase defenses were placed for a reason. Given, a few bad situations can result from that, but overall it worked pretty good on [NEW] and other servers back then, for years. Maybe player base changed too much.
Otherwise we Devs could have extended the mainbase protection to prevent firing out too, but this way, we allowed server admins to handle this part of gameplay as they like.

I think the playerbase has changed. Hardcore had similar problems, where they allowed firing in and out of main in the past, but had to change the rule since it didn't work with today's maps and players.

Clear example was Fallujah - gary drives in to main, gg US and their assets. Those where the days...

It seems pretty crazy to remove somebody from the server for 3 hours for shooting a tank with a shotgun; something which does nothing. I mean a warning should surely be enough to make someone stop, and if they kept going then maybe something else would not seem so crazy, but a temp ban from nowhere?

im more concerned about liam hacking, i had that suspicion for a long time now. especially this talking in japanese is so friggin suspicious. i was wondering why the famous hacker hunter virusseli isnt already on this clear case

I get where you're coming from - it's not a big thing. But to think about it - it kinda reminds me of the useless firing in main/carrier, and those situations tend to lead to serious asshatting. I mean, why do people even feel the need to shoot at a friendly tank with a rifle on a flag that's in play? Why haven't I come up with this genius idea? Why don't we all start fucking around all the time because we're so fucking cool with it?

The fucks in my comment should stay, because it's the same level of edginess as shown in the vid.

Just listen to the Audio in your Video at minute 00:07 and 00:17 King Chief tells you in local "next time you shoot the tank you will get banned". So he told you twice not to shoot the tank and you ignored it completly.
We (King and me) operated under quite difficult conditions with our tank(kashan alt=1 tank), both enemy CAS helicopters (havoc&gazelle) were up and we had no idea where the enemy infantry was and how many of them might hide somwhere close to the bunker.(kashan south bunker, flag not even neutral).
So you better defend the top entrance of the bunker and dont distract your armor which is covering the front entrance.

what do you think admin is a funny shit ,why your friend and you kidding with any admin, if you see your video he ask stop firing and i don't know how many times he ask you, why you guys not listening him, you must need to respect admins in any server to play, stop doing this drama mate

yeah, i hear him mumbling in another wierd language. first i thought he is summoning demons to fix his aim. but then i realised it was just japanese.


back to topic.

why are you guys shooting at friendlies? i mean doesnt matter hes inside a tank or not. and when the admin orders you to stop, why didnt you just stop?

back when i was admin i said it only once before executing the trolls. and it was just a timeban. an absolutly justified punishment imo. Admins working for you guys so you have a good expierence, so pay some respect.
