I guess we should discuss it and see what we want amongst the admin team.
Awesome, that is all I am asking Filamu thank you.

Thanks for the constructive feedback, bluff, we've got a thread going in the admin section of our forums now to get some discussion going on it.

In the past days I did indeed a lot of assets. Its more like phases. Sometimes I do inf for 1-2 weeks (or SL), sometimes I do assets for 1-2 weeks.

This is mainly due to a video I am working on. I was playing loads of INF with niko and got some nice scenes, now I got the assets.

While I might refrain from doing that much assets in the future, I can not tell anyone else to do it. Everyone may (and has to) decide this on his own. However, if people "reserve" assets in a way that breaks rules (especially 6.8. and 6.10.) they will get punished. No matter who does it.
Rules wrote:6.8. Do not lock asset squads with less people than required to properly man all available assets except when allowed to do so.
6.10. All available assets must be used immediately on spawn if the situation does not lead to an immediate death of the asset after leaving main base (1 jet vs. 4 jets etc.).

Let's be honest here. If you have a group of friends on the same Teamspeak channel starting to divide the jets of the next map among themselves before the previous round even concluded, some of the claimants not even being on the server yet, you know yourself very well that the chances are not entirely fair. ;)

We are talking about atleast 3-5 friends trying to create the CAS squad at the same moment, who are so good at this, they basically trained themselves to press ENTER at the exact moment to create the CAS squad before anyone else.

This leaves anyone else maybe with a 5% chance to get the CAS squad themselves.

Then if you join their CAS squad and ask for a jet since there are not enough people there atm, you will hear they have friends joining later. Those friends then only arrive in the squad in the last minute before the jets spawn, either coming from the Tank/APC squad or even from a different server.

How do i know this? It has been done to me many times and i also did it many times myself. ;)
So i am not saying people who do it are bad, but please don't try to claim the chances are equal and fair.

It is totally understandable why some people might get angry at you for this, once someone actually took a LAT and destroyed my jet because i did it to him lol.

Oh finally people can hear me insulting and raging my squad mates :D
I hope there will be some: fuck you guys why did no one take the medic in a 8 man squad while I ask for 2 but instead we have a sniper and marksman?

Haha Niko this is so true^^

Thankyou for looking into this though fellas,it is very much appreciated, all im thinking about is the public players enjoying themselves more on your server.
If they enjoy themselves more they will join more.

Is this the real bluff??

But yeah I agree on what's been said. When I was in NwA, there was alot of asset whores in the clan who would take asset everytime. We (senior admins/founders) made a rule, 1 game assets (for the whores) 2nd no assets, to give other Smurfs the chance, it worked.

Keep it up btw.

Cool that we all took a collectively good decision and joined after some server crashes.

What was bad is that there were no admins active, resulting in quite a long time where a couple of teamkillers could do almost whatever they wanted. Good that desertfox join and banned them, but having the server up and seeding(?) and then no admins on is a bit weird don't you think?

Yes it was a minor nuisance to have to go to their TS channel to inform about a small thing like teamkillers. To be fair Casualty was on the server but seemed to be afk, and Desertfox was finnicky about "not being on duty" and seemed reluctant to come deal with it.

Exactly my points. However, after talking to our admins and also staff of other servers I had to realize, that having an admin all the time while seeding, especially during the week when seeding up to 70+ players can take up to 6 hours, is not possible unless you seed once every 2 weeks which puts you far behind in competition.

He didnt want to do a mistake but reported them immediately to me. When I was back they have been immediately "dealt with".

Thanks for the feedback. Note that auto admin (removal after a certain amount of teamkills) is not an option since counterlazing is a thing. Also, PRISM (a 2d external admin tool) takes a LOT of performance off the server, so we currently do not have it enabled, which might, however, change in the future.

AFK seeding isn't that effective anyway, because once players notice that noone is actually playing, they will leave the server.

And when there actually are a few players on it, seeding it means playing Fallujah for 3 hours. Maybe it would help to have a Skirmish maplist for seeding? Or at least small Inf maps.

Otherwise a great server

TabZa, was joke :C I started the game as soon as I was told there is a problem to be dealt with. It just takes a while to start the game and load in. Definitively not in my interest to let a griefer roam free.

Would love to see a server doing that again, seeding and playing Skirmish layers were one of the best times I've had in PR. It's a shame those layers are going to waste now.

By the way, Area94 is in need of active admins, so if you think you've got what it takes, feel free to give us a shot!

This is correct.

I wouldnt call him toxic myself, at all. But out of your perspective this seams reasonable. So you might be happy that he has been removed some time ago already for inactivity (and other reasons). If you wanna give it a shot again, feel free to do it.

I will just quote myself on this one (again):
CAS_ual_TY wrote:On a serious note: Thats not how seeding works anymore. You now try to get as many players as possible on fallujah, and hope for all arabs to join, because they love fallujah, more than any populated server. The =KW=, _AM_SY_ (or anything with SY), =AW= and other arab clan tags always join fallujah. Servers have seeded up on their own (from 0 players) just because fallujah was running and some arabs joined it.

And thats how you seed nowadays. And thats why fallujah is the only map worth seeding on right now. You can even outseed a server with 50 players if you are on fallujah and the other is not.

If this wouldnt be the case, and everyone joins because of they like a specific server (ofc there are people like that, but very rarely at the morning or seeding time) then PRTA would be able to seed perfectly fine on any map. But as all servers, they are running fallujah only because thats the only way to seed right now.
