That and insta prone are problems of the BF2 Engine.
ArmA does not have this.

Oh, whoops, i read that wrong. I thought he meant you SHOULD be able to shoot accurately while crawling and BF2 doesnt let you do that.

Thats like comparing Iced Coffee to Piping Hot Coffee.

Cant do that mates. PR forces you to have really quick reflexes and is generally on the fast pace which IMHO simulates the sudden intense moment of CONTACT.

ARMA however simulates EVERYTHING including the not so fun parts. I remember a quote saying the army is all about Mind Numblingly Boring long routines punctuated by moments of terror. In Arma you are forced to conduct patrols, scope out FOB's, note down patrol paths, report, and mostly wait wait wait.

None better. Just different flavours. And give it time. OFP sucked big when it first came out (well to me anyway). The MODS however breathed more than a little life into it.

my triple three cents

I have the trackir 4 pro with 6DOF (used to be called Vector expansion). The ability to control your rifle with your mouse, and "look around" in game merely by moving your head makes for huge immersiveness. To lean around a corner, you lean your head.

AA and PR are two very different games, IMHO, and fill two different niches.

I agree, as a TrackIR user myself, I really like the way its implemented into ARMA, however, Helos in PR are way better than in Arma, and as my primary interest is flying I was really disapointed with ARMA tbh - I thought it was going to be a lot more comprehensive and simulator like, than it is..
