Stupid question: Did any of those hit the target?

Well this is my two pence on the GL: Observations from the battlefield. Evidence it needs tweaking!

I was playing Al Basrah, our squad was working well together, spawning of the SL. (we were insurgents)

We were defending Mosque, we were under heavy attack, sheltering in the small ammo house NE, within the Mosque walls.
We were getting slaughtered in this fire fight with another full squad. They were by the east side of the Mosque, wasting us as we either tried to get out of the house or shoot through the windows.
Spawning on the SL for about the 3rd time in 60secods I came back with the old GL, just as I spawned the SL was killed, I was the last in the room. This fight had been a long one.. I peeked out the window, numerous US troops were attacks me, my score was 2 – 9.
I fired frantic nades through the windows, never really aiming, popping up and disappearing again, all off the hip, getting re-supplied from the ammo cache. One troop got close, put a nade in the room, I jumped out and used my AK on him, back into the room, couple more nades, then all was quite. My score was 11 – 9

I had killed 8 with the GL, never really aiming, in about 60seconds!

I wasn’t proud, but when needs must.

I have historically always been **** with all of the GLs, and hardly ever use it.

I’m looking forward to seeing what limiting and tweaking happens to this kit.

Most of the noobtubing I've seen has been very accuate but heavy.

I hear/see way too much of the Spec Op kits; they cant be suppporting a squad other then suppressing fire.

Too many short spawn and modded servers are ruining the dynamics of the mod, so we're also going to make some changes there as well.[/QUOTE wrote: yes

I happen to pride myself on being able to use the M203 accurately, I having been using it for a longtime now and have become quite accurate with it. I am not fresh out of vanilla I've been around since the beginning of PR. The Devils Brigade squad that I am a part of have become very proficient with each of the different weapons and I don't see anything wrong with bombarding an occupied area with granades by a couple of grenadiers to clear out any opposition before my squad attacks.
Yes I do understand that there are some people who just use the granade launcher because they have very little accuracy with anything smaller than 40mm, however I'm sure that like myself and my squad most people have just become accurate with where they place they granades.
Just because someone gets blown to bits by a well placed shot from and accurate player dosen't make them a so called "noob tuber", it makes them an asset to their squad and their team.
So people need to stop whining about the fact that the granade launcher is a part of any armies arsenal and a well rounded player with any sort of accuracy will be able to tear a squad apart with a well placed shot. The fact of the matter is that granade launchers are out there, thats life deal with it. If you are sick and tired of getting killed by a good player, then go play something else. Or try to out smart the "noob tuber" and move to different cover, move out of the area they know you are in, flank them for god sakes just do something other than sitting there and whining about the fact they have you pinned down. Sitting still in the same spot waiting for them to run out of granades will only get you dead fast and then you whine about it calling them "noob tubers" when you were the one that couldn't think on their feet. Which in my opinion is the essence of PR, quick thinking and adaptability to changing situations.

I don't mind when one are two people are playing grenadier or Insurgent SF, its when its a whole squad or more covering a choke point it gets really annoying.

Example; I forgot the map name, buts a urban USMC vs MEC map with the train yard and suburbs as the first cap points. After the USMC capped suburbs grenadiers lined the top of the wall and the ridge behind the bridge west of suburbs and we couldn't get through until our APC finally managed to run down the rail (through that evil canyon lined with all sorts of baddies) to the USMC base, turn around, and hit suburbs from the flank. Seriously, 5 or 6 guys manage to not only hold out against a full squad and two 3-5 person squads, but they were on their way to grab construction site. I think this was their mistake as they lost the elevation advantage and we could fire back effectively when they came down. Anyways, very annoying. It would've been better if we had arty to flush them out

whats next, will we be tweaking the 9mm next? it seems that we are slowly screening out all the weapons in the game. my personal feelings is the nade lancher is fine the way it is. its a powerful weapon, it has been since the begining of BF2. from my point of veiw it has only been brought to light due to the fact that the m4 has been altered, the saw has been made a request kit, and once you get it, you can hit anything unless its with in 3 meters of you.
when is this gonna end? if you are being suppresed by an enemy i think you need to rethink your stratigy instead of complaining about your family airlome weapons passed down from generation to generation of insergent.

i propose that we nurf the hand grenade next. and make it no more powerfull than a cherry bomb.

The 203 is just the way it should be if you do not want to be kill so often dont run around like a chicken with it head cut off. P.S in real life (note just a game) you only dead once and the grenader has alot more rounds than 4. so adapt over come .
