I'm the proof that a good rig won't cure all your gaming ills. I've poured maybe three month's wages into my machine over the past two and a half to three years.
New monitor made an impact- everything's a little larger, which is good.
New graphics card just meant I could improve the quality of the gameplay, which was already smooth.
New CPU just meant I could run stuff in the background- antivirus etc- without having to load up task manager and close every last process running.
New mouse made a difference- made aiming *much* smoother.
New sound card and 5:1 speakers made a huge difference - makes finding snipers or avoiding nearby vehicles much easier if they've not been spotted. (I do a hammerhead shark impression, and crawl/run in a zig-zag and listen to the dopler as the noise shifts from left to right again to help me work out the exact angle.)
But on the whole, the fact that my PC is built of pieces that were state of the art in home PC terms around 2 years ago is pretty moot. I'm a good player (this past two weeks, it's been rare for me to finish outside the top 5 players on my team on any map) when I'm supported by a good team/squad, or when I'm in a good mood. I'm still more than capable of ending up on a 10:25 KDR when I'm having a shitty day, though.
I cant Believe it.

This is my first post on the forums, i browse alot but i'd never bothered posting. Been playing pr5 for a few months now, love it, great game.
I downloaded the beta for 6 and the first day i played it i was in a squad and on voip, a guy in the squad- really cant remembr his name but he admitted he was hacking because he said otherwise he can't 'do it'. I didn't really say anything, neither did the rest of the squad as we just focused on our objectives and it seemed to be a good round, yet after he said that he had hacks on, i realised our squad was doin great because he was mowing everything in our path down with ease, he very rarely got killed. The guy was right at the top each round with what i call ''bullshit scores''.
I know this post isn't too helpful as a can't remember his name, but i know for a fact there are hackers in pr. With this mod being alot harder gameplay wise than vanilla, and those who had to hack at bf2 because they were rubbish then they will definatly feel they need to hack on PR. Especially gonna be worse with a flush of new players with v 6.

I haven't done it in a while but in the past when the claims of "haxor" went I would claim to be hacking, but in such a subtle way that I could not be detected, this was when I had a really really bad KDR/score.
