i get in merlin, support squad for a few minutes land at helipad to get some blues, then i get a call from my squad asking for immediate extraction, since they were under fire. i brought the throttle up to full and took off, apparently someone was a few inches away and wanted in, but it was too late. I picked up my squad and dropped them back in at the facility and took the northwest route to get repairs.

then *boom* first thing that went through my head was "rpg... rpg..." i lost rudder control but was still fairly stable. then i got the alarm and before i could bail out i burst into flames, with the message that ryan TKed me.

i asked him why, he says i left him. then i ask him how old he is.
he says hes 21. then i asked him why he did it again, he said he had autism.
the next round he started repeating nazi slogans, clearly ignorant of what they meant. which insulted my entire familie's heritage after what they went through in the 1940s.

then his brother got on and said he was 14.

Ya he has started trouble with me and has been very very bad when i play with him. I mostly leave trhe server becasue he will start something soon. And mostly iam trying to get 6 guys on the same server and let alone same team not easy.

You were unbanned, you know how to behave now and let's leave it at that.

I got a gem for you guys....Well I'm playing Zatar Wetlands on iGi, and I'm in Com Asset squad (my own) and I'm helping out the commander building assets. So we start building on the hill in the middle of the map, and he sets a firebase. Well it gets all buggy, and it is about 15 feet tall. So he says destroy it, people start nadeing it, and I say "I'll just C4 it stop throwing grenades." Most stop I move in place C4, I don't push anything I get TKed and somehow I tk 1 guy. I'm like "WTF?" but I move on. I make some sandbags, and then I go to repair AA. I accidently pull out my shovel, and I go to hit the button for wrench, I miss it (not looking down), and I take out AT mine.."O NOES, I don't want to drop this here". So quickly I switch my weapon.......to C4....which then explodes under the AA gun, and I kill about 6 friendlies, and get kicked from the server. Man did that stink. If anyone I tked is reading this I'm sorry, I'm going to just stare down at my keys now to make sure I hit the right ones.

My worst experience was playing Basrah with freakin Ryan.. but hes banned from the server so I need not worry anymore.

LOOL same thing happened to me except that i was trying to build a firebase. i tried to take out my shovel but accidently took out a C4 at the same time i got a 5 second lag during that 5 sec i kept pressing the fire button(stupid of me ops and as i came out of the lag, i found myself and 4 other teamates flying in the air(lol). then just before i finish saying "f*** im sorry..." i got kicked ops:.

One of the worst was playing on TG tonight - mainly cuz my FPS was horrible, probably cuz it was a full 64 players and my computer is old. Played 3 long maps and had no fun on any of them. Oh well shit happens.

On Thor's Brigade City Maps - MEC on Street and the team so dumb and scared (uncompetitive and dumb SLs), that we actually lost the map badly, like 200-0.
Then Op Phoenix, again no voice comms, everyone immediately rushes out of the base, few blue guys stay around, I was commander, deployed my truck and just as I leave the Farm, I get TK'd by Heavy AT from some f*ck behind me...

Ive had many bad moments in lots of rounds, but one in particular had me vexed enough to punch my keyboard.

AlBasrah the round started i was brit, spawned at the airport to grab a landy as per instructed by SL. I jumped in and edged forward to meet a couple of squadmates to jump in..., i ran over the squad leader.
Made it to the VCP to set up defenses, i manned the landy on the south ramp only to be pushed into to wall o death by an apc that arrived and wanted the spot.

I respawned on the commander truck inside the vcp, only to jump out and run over by someone desperatly trying to get out with another landy. Our squad all decided to move out of vcp to search for caches we jumped in a couple of landy's and headed out of the south entrance, i was behind my squadleaders landy and all of a sudden he stopped shouting "MINES"...., i ran straight into the back of him pushing him onto the mines and killing all of us.

We somehow go split up after that so i decided to rendezvous with them by bringing some transport to the squad, on my way i noticed someone trying to nade a cache. I stopped and hopped out with c4 in hand and headed over to give the random blue guy a hand, i got to the cache just as he threw another nade. I was stunned but still alive so i threw the c4 on the cache and was promptly knifed in the back before i could blow it by the random blue guy. I was like WTF was that!? he said "well you ran into my nade besides i was frustrated i couldnt blew the cache up with my nades" After some smak talk in team chat i moved on.

By this time my score was something like -280 so i just left the serv feeling very disgruntled. Talk about a comedy of errors.

Because the blue guy couldn't destroy a cache with grenades, but you could with C4, guy knifes you for that??

Well I've had people killing me becuase I don't foolessly move the Support truck forward (I stay in the Support Truck as comm most of the time, so i cna act as a Spawnpoint and if under attack.. quick exit) anyway on Seven Gates, this guy just kept telling me to move and in teamchat "Move the TRUCK!! forward" now, I would if over the river wasen't crawling with Snipers and Anti-Tank so i say "Take out Anti-Tank and Snipers first" after 10 minites the Anti-Tanks and snipers where still supressing down river fort.. I was trying by best to lead The Remaining sqauds over there (One was lead by you, Outlawz) but, this guy kept telling me to move, he then started shooting at me, I was blurred so i got field dressing and got back into the truck.

He kept telling to move though, and shot me agian.. with the tickets dwindling at 15 Points, I shoot the guy out of Frustration (Sorry), Anyway Sqaud 2 told me the ATs and Snipers where down so i hurried across.. only to be Destroyed by a Anti-Tank.

Next round i was Commander, he Trailed along but once agian he got into my Humvee (I was staying at the back with a 50. Gunner supressing outpost) and the same thing happened, except I gave up the Humvee.. he promptly speeded it towards outpost and it quickly got destroyed by Mines. He later asked me to "deploy artillary"

lol, the Desert Storm, where we got pwnt as USMC because there was no way to get Outpost with Insurgents constantly sneaking around. They took out my squad's RP like 3 times and slaughtered us numerous times. And when APC came, he just had to be alone and drive straight over a mine or go near the Outpost to get C4'd...kinda the worst round, too

The next round server crashed, though

Have played PR a couple of times and so far enjoyed it.

Last night was 2nd time since .61 came out.

Not too many servers up doing the evening, but found one that seemed promising. Joined a squad asap.

Hmm. Teamwork seems kind of "loose" for PR - what a mob. ( Mind you I'm still a n00b myself for this mod of BF2 ).

Hey, where'd my SL go? Oh man, I'm it now and barely know my way around this map.

Back to respawn at bunker in back.

Hmm. How do I get out of this dank cave of a bunker? Oh, there's someone. I'll just follow him out.

Commander has noticed me and asking for repairs. And there's the trailer that's damaged.

Back out and angled better. Ok, that's working now. Head over to the arty. Now, how to get down there to that railcar?

finally one fellow says that the commander is AFK.

I get killed 4 times fixing his toys and our leader can't be bothered because it's tea-time or something ( see "A Bridge Too Far" ).

Yeah. We lost that match big-time.

Ok, I admit. The rally was pretty far away, but it had lasted for a solid 20 minutes, and so had I. Who was roughly about 30 meters away from the flag.

No, we keep at it as is.

Again, no. I would rather that we keep our rally where is and I'll stay alive outside the main firefight, give you cover from any ambush from behind and give a second spawnpoint.

And here is where I was stupid stupid stupid!!! I did. We lost the RP 7 times! Within a period of what felt like 7 seconds.

No, they would spot us coming from 3 different angles and we would not even get out from our RP, let alone spawn in there.

No, this is in a direct route the hostiles take every time to get to the flag.

No, I don't think we should put up a rally point on top of a hill where even our own guys at the main base can see our RP like a beacon of stupidity.

I should have just left the squad and gone as SM instead. Since I could not sort out my own men.

Kinda funny experience, but also crappy at the same time. I was in a squad called "repair" on Kashan, driving a support humvee and fixing up tanks and other armor. Some dude joined the squad, and as is the case 90% of the time, he didn't join it to repair tanks, but to camp on the airfield for 5 minutes and wait for helicopters. I didn't really pay too much attention to him, but at one point I saw him in a chopper. I mistakenly identified the icon as an Apache (even though it was an LB), and kicked him from the squad while yelling at him for soloing in a chopper. Now, don't get me wrong, I would've kicked him anyway, since he was obviously just using my squad to get his pilot kit, and at the same time avoid having to be SL. But, I kinda feel bad for yelling at him for something he didn't do.

So, I saw the "YOU MUST JOIN A SQUAD OR DIE" message for him, and didn't pay any more attention to what happened to him afterwards. I had the squad locked at that point, because some other chopper whore (or sniper whore, honestly, I don't even remember) kept rejoining it. Some 2 minutes later, I found myself driving the support humvee through the desert north of village. Suddenly, I come under fire. I look back, and the LB with the guy inside is flying behind me and shooting at me. My first thought is that he was pissed at me for kicking him, and now wants revange. So, I perform evasive actions, turning into him and flooring it, causing him to overshoot. I turn around and get ready to drive towards him again, as he turns around and faces me, guns aimed right at my puny truck. However, instead of killing me right there, he slowly descends to the ground and lands.

At that point, I reconsidered the situation. Perhaps he actually needed repairs. Of course, it'd be faster for him to just fly back to base and repair there, but who said he wasn't retarded and wanted to risk his life by getting repairs in the middle of the desert. So, I drive closer to his chopper, sitting there in the middle of the desert, main rotor blades spinning.

I park next to him, but not close enough for him to get repaired off my truck (didn't want to scrape his paint), and wait for him to do something. He increases collective and starts lifting off.

Then, in a typical PR noob fashion, he tips to the side. Tries to compensate but to no avail. He flips over, blows up, and dies a fiery death. I chuckle, mutter "Ok, then" and move on. I never did find out what the guy wanted.

There must be some sort of squad leading phobia amongst the new players

Bit of a necro post, but I feel my SL today deserves a rant. Map is Al Basrah, brit team.

An apparent .7 newbie and SL newbie in general: didn't realize to get an officer kit, gave pointless orders such as "kill that guy that killed me, come on he killed me go get him." Resulting in the loss of a Scimitar, constantly calling out "enemy contact", but providing no bearing, telling the squad to cover him as he runs into the open giving no time to get ready to cover him. Ordered my APC to "kill anything, even if it's a civilian". Ordered everyone to attack the enemy mosque spawn with two caches left, both being "spotted", until I pointed this out.

Worst situation was when all 6 of our squad move towards a cache and 4 die in a large crossfire, leaving me and a marksman only alive, SL dead on a road in plain view and he has the nerve to start yelling go get the medic kit and revive him, while we're still being fire at. Marksman actually listens to him and I believe got killed while I tried to cover him, round ended about then, thankfully.

...Nevermind.
