I was just wondering, what will be the dog fighting skills of this bird?? Should a pilot flying this even attempt to engage or is it bad enough that you best run? You dont have to give me details but just a vague answer will be nice

Since it will be a ground attack aircraft analogous to A10, Su25, etc. I'd imagine it would also have somewhat similar handling

I see how that would make sense in game but i doubt that the harrier flies like an A-10 IRL.

Yeah me too. Just takin a guess. I'd prolly aniticipate a reduced payload/destructive ability but better maneuverability.

the harrier will have its own flight physics, for a start it has VTOL

it will be armed with afew AA missiles but they will only be for self defence like the A-10.

Well, it will be at a bit of a disadvantage because it has no gun. It will have two short range AAMs, though.

I wouldn't go chasing any MiG's in a harrier. And what the hell is a MiG-26? Are the Russians at it again?

The Harrier (Medium Ground Attack) does not compare to the A10 or SU25 (Heavy Ground Attack), at all, its an extremely Agile plane

A-10 = US AF jet

Harrier GR9 = RAF/RN jet.

I'm aware of that, although one could argue that The A10 is Medium Ground Attack while the Harrier is multi-role, leaving the heavy to something like the F117 and AC130

I was talking in terms of PR and its role.

It doesn't exist, all MiGs have odd numbers.

And looking at that pic, would I be right in thinking that its only ground attack abilities in PR are going to be coming from 4 laser guided bombs? No rockets, brimstones or maveriks? (ah well, better than the 4 dumb bombs on the Fantan, I guess.)
