Never, EVER go AFK as a commander. I hate when I can't set up a firebase because my commander went out for a smoke. This can often lose the flag, or even the whole round for the team.

Obviously it depends on the game you're playing, sometimes being a heli pilot is easy, but other times it's the hardest damn thing i've ever done.
However last time I played, I found being a SL very stressful!

SL are important but really not that stressful once your used to it...
I'd say armor gunner is kinda stressful in the heat of battles because you must hit your target the first most of the time to survive wich mean you must see everything and aim good. The survival of your crew and vehicle depend on it and since armor are very important assets in PR, losing it is really not good.

Spec Ops is missing. I voted squadleader, but moving in alone into enemy territorry scouting out an outpost and moving in hoping nobody spawns while you knife it and plant satchel charges makes my pulse really spike.

'[R-DEV wrote:IronTaxi;583074']no doubt about it...commander...
want an early death? go commander....like it..but you have to get ready as much as possible before putting yourself in that role...
get your snack, take a pee break, make a coffee and a bottle of water wouldnt hurt either..
basically your are looking at 2-3 hours where you cant take a break..
Stressful if you're a good commander and everyone count's on you, not so stressful if your pants cos you tend to piss all over the game anyway
I'm going to say armoured infantry squadleader... That is 1 fully crewed APC under your command and 4 foot soldiers... Job is to provide fast armour support quickly and extract squads that need extraction (leaving behind the 4 man fireteam as support)
Nothing worse than controlling 5 other people whilest fighting yourself, trying to make sure your vehicle knows where its safe and keeping that alive, negotiating who needs help the most and worst of all when you pull a full squad out of the thick of it, only to leave the fireteam behind with 4 guys instead of 6 fighting waiting for the APC to come back.
Stressful as hell but god I love it

I would see it to be the SL role.
I used to lead a lot in PR, even in BF2 before when i could coax some players into working together. In about Late .6, combinations of smacktardary, incomeptance, and show stopping problems (server crash, CTD) pushed me over the brink.
Now i find trying to lead a conventional line squad one of my most stressful roles in PR, however i will still lead a specialist team (HAT crew, CAS unit, sniper team etc). Still find it hard to watchsomeone i dont know, use an AT weapon, when ammo is limited or the situation is dire lol.
I think Armoured Vehicle commander is pretty damn unbarable too, unless you know you have a superb gunner. I think im a pretty decent Armour gunner and find it unbarable to watch someone scowering the horrizen for the elevation and degrees i call out a good 30seconds ago

.

I think it's none,( i voted n00b) cos if you are finding this game stressful, then it's a game and take a break and watch TV or whatever. Yes you have crappy rounds, when people don't listen to you or whatever, but it's nay a stressful experience.

Yep! SL role or medic. SL for all the reasons stated. Been sl all afternoon and had an excellent time.
Medic can be pretty stressfull as well. You know that if you die ressing people the assault or defense failed! So thats a stressfull job and duty resting on your shoulders

Squad Leader > All Other Roles
You can go Commander and leave for 10 minutes and the team will be fine. They may not be able to build anything, but they will survive with rallies etc. If you are a SL who goes AFK for 2 minutes, be prepared for your squad to have split up, gone UA/AWOL, confused, and without direction etc.
To be honest, CO isn't really that stressful considering they depend on you, so if they don't want to do what your say, mute their mic or don't give them build orders. With SL, you kind of form a bond with your squadmates and depend on each other, so its much more stressful and frustrating to let them down or when they move to slow or go against your orders.

without the shadow of a doubt, SL.
removing smacktardic tumours and rasing teamwork capability is certainly demanding.

Tank driver. I love to drive, but somehow i always get stuck with the bossy gunner. 'Go here' 'Move there' 'Go!' It gets very stressful when i have to ignore my instincts and drive to my death because the gunner orders it and i'm not gonna start an argument on the battlefield over shared comms. Also as a driver you have a higher view then the gunner, so when i'm yelling out '2 tanks to our south west' the gunner sees nothing, and tells me to drive over there. "They're gonna see us as soon as we get over this hill" "GO BAD MOJO" BOOM we're dead.
Thats why i like gunning. Because i don't usually talk until we see a target. The driver is in my opinion the commander of the vehicle, he gets the say on where the tank goes. The gunner is just a trigger man and fires the gun when the driver finds a target. Sure there's always those times when people say "No shot, move up" or whatever. But as for the gunner deciding we should roll over this next hill and check things out. Keep ur mouth shut and let the driver do his job.

Know whats stressful? Forming a squad and noticing a familiar clan tag or member... then I feel like a nub telling them to do stuff thinking 'this guy is laughing at me'.
Its hard to start as any position involving a decision making process that directly affects others. CO, SL, Helo transport, Medic.
All pretty insanely demanding.

Transport Helicopter Pilot for me. You have to be precise, quick, being familiar with the map you're on is a must, you gotta watch out for AAs and what's more, if you get taken down a whole squad will be blaming you for their death. It's definetely not for the faint-hearted.

Being a medic is not as stressful and hard as some would imagine, in fact I've been mostly using this kit since I've started playing BF2, even in PR. People tend to avoid being one, though.
